  1. I have said a few months back that festy can go all the way and some were questioning his final ball. True that his final ball is sometimes not the best it could be but, not since wanchope have we had a genuinely exciting bums off seats player that is so unpredictable and enjoyable to watch. His pace is enough to get him in a real top team in the future.

Takeover sorted then get him a long contract. It's about time our academy got the money (transfer fees) credit that they deserve.

    We are staying up.

  2. I feel sick. Believed in what Rooney said yesterday (as he did ), to this a day later. This was supposed to be the start of a new era, then, we lose jags. Thought he would be kept around and resigned tomorrow or next day at the most. Heading to stoke now has really got me. Efl are a joke and are punishing us unfairly. We have broken the rules and have been punished for it. Slate should be clean.

Really annoyed and worried about the outcome of today and feel that Rooney's time as manager will end shortly. He cannot continue to put up with this any longer. No one would blame him if he left.

Mel Morris instead of being a Lionel pickering figure in years to come will be known as  the man who brought Derby county to it's knees.

The news today has saddened me more than that of administration.

Fair play to all who will attend the match tomorrow and give the boys %100 backing. Good luck.

  3. No movement in and around the box for festy to pick out. Maybe because they don't expect him to get where he gets. Get him signed up long term Derby because he is destined for bigger things. He really excites me when running at people. Can't think of the last player to do that. Wanchope maybe.

Back to the second half. Expect a few changes to save the legs of many who need it. Bigger picture.

  4. Agree with most of the previous comments but, for me, he tends to drift into a position where he is not open for a pass. Seems almost that he is marking an opposition player when we are in possession. This does go on too much for me and he doesn't work hard enough to improve it. ( Thought it only happened when alongside Shinnie but no). Then all of a sudden he wants the ball every time and is a driving force. A player who is improving and his confidence is growing rapidly. Keep it up Max.

  5. Georgie Kelly is from my town in Ireland. Went to the school i work in and currently plays for bohs.  He is ok paced, good in the air and has had a good season goal scoring wise and performance wise.

Apparently Portsmouth are interested in him along with league of Ireland club Derry City.

If he gets a positive approach from an English team probably league one level he will go. If not he will go to Derry City to be closer to home town and play European football.

Would love it we took a chance on him as the fee would be small along with the wages, ideal for a player we could be interested in (if we went to league one). Problem being that the season has just finished here and won't be starting till mid March ( normally). That won't fit in our timescale as they would want a fee in January.

  6. You can defend all of the points why we are in this mess but in order to get out of it you need to defend properly. That was clearly not the case tonight.

It seems that we were going for a point tonight from early doors. When roos dropped to the ground after claiming the ball late on I nearly lost my life.

Qpr are not a great team and will be found out but when you stand off players they will eventually hurt you. We have to finish with top six form to get out of this mess so teams like these should not be feared.

Negative football with a couple of ok performances is not going to work.

  7. Pathetic tactics and team selection. Rooney starting to believe his own hype. Awful, awful performance from the 10th min onwards. So many laboured players tonight. Morrison no, Jos no, Forsyth no and Shinnie no. When ebosele gets the ball the crowd are up on their feet. No other player gives that and he is left on the bench for ravel Morrison who has done nothing since game 5. Awful tonight.

  8. Can understand in some ways players not going to the fans.

That was a game they were expecting to win and we're rightly aggrieved that they didn't and didn't deserve to. To go and put a false face on it is not what I would want to see. Would rather hear about someone coming off the pitch and smashing things and tearing strips off teammates.

Everyone deals with difficult situations in different ways.

What do you think of Harry Maguire recently coming out and saying I'm only here doing an interview because I have to. That for me is much worse.

  9. Delighted with a point in the end against a good home team. Some real positives from the game and some things that are not improving.

Positives include commitment and desire by majority of the team. The goal celebrations from the team shows a real togetherness from a group who backs are against the wall. Some players have really stepped up their game to slowly drag this team forward. Bird being the standout.

Not improving on are closing down the opposition, yesterday, We was always a second or two slower than it should be rather than predicting their play.

Decision making in the final third is costing us. Wasting some good positions by a poor final ball or the wrong ball.

Lawrence dead balls are definitely not improving.

My main gripe is a old one but still applies today. On several occasions either the centre backs or Shinnie in particular needed to beat a man going forward before they could pass the ball forward. Lawrence and Morrison were not showing for the ball even though a five yard run would have been enough.

We missed knight yesterday but kazim definitely changed the game when he came on.
