Nice to see the standard of officiating is absolutely appalling, yet again.

Those slamming Mel should pause for a moment to think about his intentions.
I do not - for a minute - think he's intended to run the club down.
He has spent millions, not to run the club into debt, but to chase the dream. We all supported that chase.
Even though he's managed things badly, which he admits, I do believe that he genuinely thinks the only way he can get new owners in is to put the club into administration.
I'm very far from happy about that, actually been crying about it, but I think it's sincere on his part.

I declined a ST refund and continued to pay my direct debit all the way through but still haven’t been this season.
The club only has its self to blame, I will be going Saturday but if I am honest not really that bothered.
Why do I feel like this? A number of reasons I guess which I would imagine are fairly standard across the board.
I’ve kept my money in the club but don’t feel valued still, the communication has been poor. Ringing in to ask questions was dreadful, literally getting cut off so far down the line, that actually makes you feel like the clubs going bust in itself.
I do know a few people inside the club, they say it’s a mess and has been for some time, whilst they don’t know major details or inside news they also feel undervalued.
MM’s battle with the EFL has ruined us, he’s let his emotions get in the way of business and now we are paying for it.
For the previous talk of the club being at the heart of the community it certainly feels very broken right now. 
 
Managerial decisions have cost us badly, Cocu being the worst for me, it was THE time to forget promotion and get a man in to build. Get players from lower levels and really be cost effective with lowered expectations and just be honest with the fans.
I may request a refund in all honesty as my desire has gone, we pay our money and we expect a well run club in return. Even the accounting situation as it stands makes me feel more pain is coming and then I can see very dark days returning as people will walk away. 
 
If you are a fan who wants to carry on and go each week good for you, I may join you I may not but for those that don’t is does not mean they don’t love the badge any less, the relationship just needs a bit more time to repair before we go back.

What are the best excuses you've heard, or even used yourself? 
A colleague of mine is very much a skiver, and has been caught out repeatedly in the past. On one occasion, he was missing for a few weeks, looking after his missus who'd had a heart attack and needed constant care. It was only when she popped into the factory to surprise him one day on her way home from work, looking pretty chipper for someone bed bound, that he returned, shameless, the next week. 
One year, he questioned why his bonus was lower than others who perform the same role, and was told it was because he'd only worked 4 Mondays and a dozen Tuesdays in the preceding year.
Today however, he's elevated himself in my eyes to God like skiver status, here's why.
"Sorry boss, I won't be in today and you'll never believe why".
You're right, I won't, but indulge me anyway.
"It was around 1am I awoke, needing a piss, so climbed out of bed and made my way towards the bathroom. After navigating the bed successfully in the pitch black, not disturbing the wife, I pulled on the bedroom door handle, which promptly came off in my hand ".

"Well, this is a pickle I thought, I'll have to ring someone to assist. That's when I realised both my and our Gerts phone were charging downstairs, disaster.
I tried forcing the door, but it wouldn't budge, probably because I have the only bedroom door in the country that has not just a handle, but also a latch lock, operated from the outside. 
Now I'm starting to panic, locked in to the room, no communication with the outside world, a wife who's been startled awake by me messing about with the door, and by now I'm desperate for a wee.
Luckily, I bring a pint of water upto bed every night, as I get thirsty easily, so throw the water out of the bedroom window and relieve myself into the glass, then discard it the same way.
I try hollering for help out of the open window, but due to the time of night my calls fall on deaf, drunken English ears.
The shouting dries my throat out, god I could use a drink, but I no longer have the glass of water. I should've justed peed out the window, I belatedly think".
Sounds terrible, you must have pooed yourself?
"Well, put it this way mate, that's one shoebox that won't see the recycling bin.
After 4 hours of pleading for help, eventually I caught the ear of a fella passing by on his way to work, and persuaded him to dial 999. Eventually the fire brigade turn up, pop a ladder upto the bedroom window, and pass me a toolbox to break open the bedroom door, ending our temporary imprisonment."
Sounds awful mate. I suppose you've never been so embarrassed?
"Why would I be embarrassed, it must happen all the time?
Before the fire brigade left, I even popped outside and had a selfie taken with the crew, who weren't smirking at all. 
It's left me too tired for work today, obviously, but I'll be back tomorrow boss."

Full transparency. I was invited to this meeting, but chose not to put my name or the forums to this.
Reason being as I have previously stated, this forum is a platform for fans views, I am not an elected chairman/spokesman to speak on behalf of you all, simply the creator of this platform for fans views which can already be openly seen by the club.
I did not feel comfortable signing on behalf of the forum without consulting you all, and felt my name without attaching dcfcfans.uk held no weight.
My own personal views are that this letter has been created out of concern for the clubs future and regardless of how you feel towards any of the groups that have signed off on it, do not see this as an opportunity to attack supporters groups for speaking on behalf of Derby County fans.
