I agree. I think Max just felt it was time for a new challenge in a new place. The fact he agreed to a deal that would have been less financially favourable to him than if he'd simply run his contract down so that the club could agree a deal that worked for us is a tribute to his character.

CheshRam reacted to Millenniumram in Poor substitution
That wasn’t the poor substitution, Nyambe got clattered earlier in the half. The lack of a substitution of Hourihane was more of a problem - on a yellow card and with 0 pace, we were essentially playing with 10 men for 20 minutes.

Best midfielder at the club. Leaving as won't sign a new contract. Good fee. Keep the player for the rest of the season.
He came through the ranks, stood by us when we were on our arse, does his best, good egg arond the place, getting a bigger wage in a higher division, club doesn't lose out.
Max Bird comes out well, Derby County come out well.
Moaners, please shush. I'm embarrassed by you.

Don't know why people are having a go at birdy, his style of play is the antithesis of Warne's. Whilst he's the manager at the club we are going to continue to see proper footballers leave and be replaced by cloggers.

It is a pity that you and others do not appear give credit for the brilliant work of Mendez-Lang and Fornah putting the defenders under extreme pressure.

CheshRam reacted to angieram in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

I’m ashamed of myself I actually got annoyed we equalised. I’ve never thought this about Derby, ever.
That man is ruining our club 😭

I don't understand the logic of trying to put high crosses in to Washington as a lone striker. He's probably the smallest player on the pitch. At least if we're going to play this way have the nous to cross it along the ground.

Also seen one or two referencing “clownes”, this is also bang out of order. We owe him enormously. He’s just a fan like us who had the wherewithal to do what we would all do. Despite seemingly getting wrong with warne he’s still our saviour

Warne could help himself by not repeatedly walking in to rakes by coming out in interviews and being too specific. When he says 6pm fans will expect something by 6pm.
I get that he's walking a tightrope but it's always better to under promise and over deliver than over promise and under deliver.

Collins offered plenty against Burton because we got the first goal and he could take advantage of some space while they tried to get back into the game.
He won't offer anything in tight games where we let the opposition score first and just hammer it toward a packed box.
The opposition scoring first is a death knell to our chances under Warne because he doesn't. have a f****** clue how to alter his tactics to get us back in a game,.so Collins will continue to be s***.

You can only scout players that exist. Other than in your head, there is no player that matches your description for a price that would match our budget.

Bring the baby to the first game and get them hooked.  I did with my eldest daughter - age 5 months and better behaved than most fans given that we lost 5-0 to Sunderland. It was a close call but I decided to keep her and indoctrinate her with all things Rams despite not being local.

I have been away so not seen / heard anything about the FGR game but if that’s true, a - he’s an idiot and b - he should be suspended (on the condition that everyone else is). My post isn’t about the fact that we didn’t win yesterday, that’s our own fault, it’s about the constant cheating we have to endure every home game we aren’t winning. Lincoln were the worst. Holding your head to stop the game, pretending you are seriously hurt in a potential life threatening way (which is why that rule was brought in) isn’t gamesmanship - it’s cheating. The refs watch it and happily see the physio rub the player’s leg - they should be booked or made to leave the pitch for a 5 minute concussion check, simple as that. It’s become endemic and second nature and needs clamping down on and isn’t really that hard to do.

CheshRam reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Very sad news
No, I’m sorry - it’s cheating and I am sick of watching it. Eddie Howe’s Burnley team stood out as despicable cheats but now we see it every week. Players holding their heads so the ref stops the game only to have the physio look at their foot, two players simultaneously needing treatment for no reason, players crawling on to the pitch to get treatment and the weak refs that let them get away with it, shoe laces needing tying, players with cramp, players getting cramp whilst aiding other players with cramp, goalkeepers told to feign injury whilst there is an impromptu team talk and re-organisation - it’s cheating. What makes it worse are the s*** refs who happily let it happen. If you want treatment and you are on the touch line having just crawled on to the pitch, crawl off it again. I’m sick and tired of watching it and this year has been far worse than anything I can ever remember.

It came about through necessity at the time, and coincided with our unbeaten run and excellent defensive performances, it’s not exactly a case of “isn’t Warne mad”, more “it was good coaching and use of the squad during a difficult time, however now we have other options let’s use him further forward”

I wasn’t thrilled by him and got tired of his interviews. I wasn’t sure he could get these aging players to do what he wanted them to with the energy levels required.

I was wrong. We don’t play horrible hoof it football as I’d feared. It’s a nice balance between waiting for openings and forcing the other team to turn with a direct pass. Night and day from those first few games when it felt like the players thought he just wanted them launching it long.

I turn up to every game believing we can win. Just taking each game as it comes. Not eyeing up 2nd place as I don’t want it to feel disappointing if we fall short because we are tearing teams apart at the moment and I want to enjoy that.

The race is definitely on though and I’m glad it was Plymouth who slipped up. Reckon Wednesday will romp the league now so it has to be Plymouth who tail off…

I can’t believe some of the stuff on here lately!
Whats kept this club going over the last eighteen months has been the relationship between the supporters the different management teams and the encouragement towards players, the all in this together, never give up, fight to the end attitude that has served us well.
Unfortunately it seems that losing to a Premier League club who had 200 million quids worth of talent sat on the bench seems to have resurrected that rarest of beasts over the last few months………….the scapegoat.
Considering that just six months back we were on the verge of handing the club to Kirchner, had five players under contract and no pre season the results and performances so far are remarkable.
Personally I will not be criticising the present management, previous managers or any player  who’s working their socks off to improve our position and decided to stay or sign for this club in extraordinary times.

Rosenior was completely unproven. If he was ‘already good’, why didn’t he get the job permanently?
Hull are ‘well up the league’? They were 20th and now they’re 16th. He’s meeting the brief but let’s not over-egg it. He’s doing a respectable job. Nothing more, nothing less.
All of our success is due to the squad Rosenior assembled? What a great way to undermine the job our current manager is doing!
People said Warne would have to rip the squad up to get them ‘playing how he wants’. This has proved to be untrue. People said the football would be a turn off and attendances would drop to 12k. Again, it’s untrue.
We have signed no-one and gone on an unbeaten run stretching back to October. We have played with a left back at centre back, a central midfielder at right back and an attacking midfielder at left back, and we’re 12 games unbeaten in the league. Even many of Rosenior’s signings have performed better since he left.
But of course none of that is down to the current manager, is it?
