Hopefully it will be that Bobby Ewing has just stepped out of the shower.

I know you are not supposed to be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but if Rooney can work on CKR’s weaknesses just 10-20% then he will me a more than useful player next season.
And hopefully vice versa.

A little disappointed. I saw the title and thought we must have signed a Spanish striker.
-
I’m watching the Europa League Final at the moment. Commentator on BT Sports just said that Rooney is there too.
Who do we think he’s scouting?
-
Sean Dyche.
Seems to be a fan of our players.

I’ve heard he’s stands in the centre of Derby rattling a tin for the ‘MM Emergency Support Fund Campaign 2021’.

would this benefit the club directly?
I would assume so in the sense of it being additional revenue for the owner, offsetting part of any losses he has had.

I meant I waited a year paying utility bills out of my own pocket for a buyer who was never going to materialise and give me the price I wanted for the house.
So I had 3 choices either take the low ball offers, spend some of my own money to get a better asking price or carrying on paying dead money in the non existent hope that someone was going to give me the price I wanted.
I didn't mean splash the cash I meant he surely has to realise by now like myself in this same position that I had to spend some more money of my own to recoup something back.
I didn't find it a very attractive proposition either but you can only deny reality for so long.
I agree.
I believe that appointing Cocu and then especially Rooney was part of the ‘making it attractive to a buyer’ due to the marketing opportunities that would have been a relatively low cost investment which would have been hoped to drive interest.
Difficult though to see where else he could make it a more attractive proposition when the Academy is already top class, and can’t really do much with the squad for financial reasons.
I can only see naming rights of the stadium as an opportunity and Mel would have no doubt explored it numerous times.
So, probably a case of get rid of it all for very little. I also suspect that as Mel’s likely to be a proud man, who has done very well in business, leaving Derby in its current position won’t rest easy with him, and he surely won’t want the FL, Gibson et al to pull one over him in terms of a points deduction or other punishment.
It will be interesting to see what he does next.

Really? What ropes would that be?
Management, of course.

Curtis can stay as a coach, do his badges and learn the ropes from Wayne.

Hell DerbyCo.
Change the title of the thread.

I’m in too.
Though any chance my share could be leveraged against the stadium please?

Due to his age, physical presence and attitude he reminds me in some respects of Ibrahimović.

Chris Martin currently has more assists for Bristol City (4) than the entire Barcelona squad.
I've just seen Bristol fans describing him as a class above and a cut above in terms of his clever hold up play.
I am really really pleased for him, was my favourite striker at the club since Sturridge and he should have retired here.
If only we had used the money we tried to pay to Dursun/Austin/Kazim-Richards and gave him the 2 years he wanted.
Go Chris Martin.
I think he did. To Bristol.

From a distance, a considerable distance, he looks like Ibrahimovic - tick
Don’t think we ever signed anyone with a bit of Turkish ancestry, which is a bit random - tick
German bloodline too, so can play emergency centre back and will be good at penalties - tick
Dur dur dur Durhhh Ser Dar Dur Sun.
But it’s fair to say we had Bamford here and he was a bit of an Ankara.

At least he could speak the same language as MtW.

I’d trust Rooney’s judgement on attacking players if we actually signed any of them.
