Chesterfield_Ram Posted Saturday at 18:24 Share Posted Saturday at 18:24 I don’t know what happened with him 😂. It didn’t look like it was a shot, but it went a long way for a heavy touch to go
SinceIWasntSoYoung Posted Saturday at 18:25 Share Posted Saturday at 18:25 He was aiming to put it near the corner flag to try and waste time.
Elwood P Dowd Posted Saturday at 18:27 Share Posted Saturday at 18:27 Ebou made the chance on his own so it was his to miss, it wasn’t like he had been passed the ball in front of an open net and then blasted it into row Z. It was a great shame he missed as the event epitomises his eye for a chance and his never give up attitude. 🐏🐏🐏🐏 DiggerB, Ewe Ram, Jourdan and 3 others 2 1

He was just knackered - he'd covered every blade of grass again but still chased down the clearance, beat the keeper, and effectively ran the clock down until there was no time for Cardiff to mount a final attack. He created the chance all by himself, so no-one should really be annoyed about it but Ebou. Ewe Ram, Rev, Sufferingfool and 5 others 4 2
Derby65 Posted Saturday at 18:51 Share Posted Saturday at 18:51 My thoughts are that it wasn’t a shot , it was a really heavy touch as he sees the Cardiff defender coming towards him , I think he tries to play it towards goal and run across the defender before tapping it home , knowing any touch from the defender is a red card and a penalty. r_wilcockson and Sufferingfool 1

He'd sprinted from penalty spot to penalty spot, winning a 50/50 header on the way, through sheer bloody mindedness in the 97th minute when he was clearly knackered well before. I look at it as a great piece of pressure release play, rather than the worse miss I've ever seen. After being absolutely everywhere for the preceding 90 minutes. He was brilliant today. He and Derby are just a perfect match. Edited Sunday at 20:45 by DarkFruitsRam7 Mimester, Comrade 86, Crewton and 3 others 5

Ambitious Posted Saturday at 19:52 Share Posted Saturday at 19:52 He was absolutely dead on his feet on the Cardiff transition which resulted in the corner before the chance, yet he was able to run the length of the pitch even if it did end up in.. THAT. 23 games and 10 goals conceded with him on the pitch. He’s an animal. I’m seriously struggling to think of any player in watching Derby that has such a physical presence on the pitch and just seems to be where the team need him to be. He’s working his way up to Buxton and Barker type football heritage in my heart. I just adore him as a footballer. IlsonDerby Posted Saturday at 19:53 Share Posted Saturday at 19:53 Those chances are harder than they look. 👀 But seriously the two goals he’s scored have been so good and so much more difficult than that 😂 Comrade 86
thischarmingram Posted Saturday at 19:59 Share Posted Saturday at 19:59 I like how people are trying to find reasons for him missing it - all he needed to do was just run it in, it was that easy, and he for some reason suddenly tried to hit it with his left after it looked so much easier to just take two more touches with his right and it would have rolled in 😂😂😂 Sadly for him that will be played over and over. I still don’t think it’s the funniest thing I’ve seen a Derby player do, for me it’s still Darren Bents own goal against Leicester in the FA Cup - unbelievable finish. B4’s Sister Posted Saturday at 22:02 Share Posted Saturday at 22:02 I would have loved to have seen seen Ebou get the goal, but like Warne, I saw the funny side with it being the last minute and match won. Can’t help but think what the posts would be like it it was anyone but Ebou 🤣
