The only logical conclusion I can reach here is that the panel don't have access to the following stats:- Number of 'Warneball' passes per match Number of crosses per match Number of minutes given to players under the age of 21 xG per match Likelihood of remaining in the Championship if we get promoted. It really is like a trip back to the dark ages where people think scoring goals at one end and keeping them out at the other end are the things that win you matches. My musing seems to be more along the lines of us sustaining our current league form and win ratio, hitting the top 2 before year end, a win at Wembley in the cup and then crowning it all by storming to the league title with 3 games to spare.
