Looks terrible if he drops Bradley.  He was brought in to help us "man up" in exactly these kind of games where we dropped points last season.  Think we should just set up to protect the draw and more often than not our quality will earn us the three points.  An away draw to a team that is likely to finish mid-table isn't a terrible result and a safety first approach after the defensive errors in our first two games seems sensible.  Not Warnes style though is it?

Yeah, Bradley will be okay. He’s just going through one of those stages. Sometimes you get on the field and even kicking the ball seems weird.

He just needs to get himself together and he will become the leader we need him to be.

Just remember,  we haven't won at the pirelli in the league!!!

That's because they're a miserable little non league side on steroids and we've never been bad enough to play them in the past.  It's hard to raise your game for a pub side when they're all hyped up like a bull on Viagra  and you'd rather be picking fluff from your toes than deal with such a demeaning fixture.

Burton are like Leicester when we play them.... They're really amped up for it, whereas we just aren't. Inevitably, this results in a win or draw for Burton and we look quite poor. But you'd think the players would be determined to set this start right and come out with a lot more gusto so it's a tough one to call.

                            Wildsmith

         Nelson        Forsyth (C)      Cashin

Ward                                                       Elder
                     Smith          Bird

                          Thompson

                 Collins            Waghorn

Subs- Vickers, Bradley, Wilson, Hourihane, Sibley (or Brown), NML, Washington

- Not encouraged by the back 3 so far but it should work better away from home if it’s executed well, think a back 4 should come in if we can’t get a result with the 3 in this one though.

- We looked a lot better (still incredibly flat) after half time on Tuesday, so the changes made at half time come in from the start, Thompson gives us way more energy in midfield and Bird looks so much better playing deep. If Smith Bird and Hourihane are all starting again I might cry.

- Not fun trying to decide who should play up top, NML is the only with pace but the system really doesn’t suit him, and Collins is the only one with any sort of clinical goal record, but not recently. Waghorn is probably the best forward at the club and he can bring us something in terms of creativity if we get the right people around him, though equally Washington could start instead, but it doesn’t matter who starts up top if they don’t get service.

An uninjured Bradley and Hourihane not starting the game would be a brave and foolish call by Warne. Bradley was bought as our leader in my opinion, the defensive lynchpin, and Hourihane was the player’s pick as Captain. He needs to back those two I would say, but playing them in a way that suits their respective skill sets. Really interesting next 48 hours ahead, including the press briefing.

I was really surprised Bradley wasn't appointed captain by Warne - I wonder if he was too?

I thought it likely too, not that in truth I knew much about Bradley. A lot on here made it seem though he was the big fix. So far he has looked like Bambi on roller skates. Hopefully the real Sonny will be on show on Saturday.

A couple of my mates are Luton fans. They loved him but said last season after his injuries it was obvious his legs had gone.

Burton Albion fans seem fairly unanimous in that they have a better side than us, had it not been for their injuries I would imagine many would be expecting a fairly comprehensive win on their side.

I don't doubt their ability to beat us on Saturday but, speaking objectively, they definitely don't have a better side than us.

I almost expect them to take 6 points off of us (seeing as they always turn up for their biggest fixture), but I'm very confident they won't finish above us this season.

If we’re gonna be seeing absolute honking mistakes from our defence every match let’s at least blame it on inexperience and developing young talent.

if you want to see fewer honking mistakes from the back 3, play our best CB as a CB. That’s Fozzie of course.

Hope we do it now rather than too late in the season

Lets just say we will not be wearing Derby colours or jumping up and down when we score..

it’s not possible not to give yourself away when we score. It’s just not. Wear a bike helmet and a gum shield
