Is Warne living on borrowed time?

Or it could be an unhappy dressing room (as they should be after the dismal start to the season), one disgruntled player and feelings/emotions getting distorted by Chinese whispers. 🤷🏻

concerned we don’t have a leader in the dressing room who will pull the players together in adversity    Curtis has gone

I miss Curtis Davies. Not the footballer any more, although he would fit in perfectly, but the leader and the man. If there were dressing room problems he would act as a conduit and would help sort it out. If there was a disconnect between players and manager the same thing would apply. If there weren’t any off field issues he would be on the radio talking directly to the fans, reminding us where we had come from and promising to sort it out. And he would be trusted and believed.

I don’t know about these rumours but I wonder if they would be surfacing and wonder if the players would look so dispirited at the start of the season if Curtis was still there.

I am now going to think about his goal against Reading and the Birmingham match to raise morale.

Even another year on he would be fine with Cashin next to him especially after watching these others brought in

None of us actually know what’s going on in the dressing room. I fear the worst but for all we know, these rumours of discontent may be over hyped and perhaps a few frank exchange of views immediately after another miserable defeat.

I would trust Warne isn't happy with it either...that's his job to address. I wouldn't give up on his ability to do it after 3 games.

He hasn't had THREE games though has he? You cannot write off last season, when he had a better squad although not one he'd chosen! His choices must also be looked at and consideration given to what he's spent a good budget on.

It's like a whodunnit... Which player could have a grievance against the manager?

Might make a good drama but it's not good for our club that it could be one of several.

One Morning in Spain a man was found with a knife in his stomach, A bullet in his back, A lump on his head, Rope marks around his neck, A candlestick by his side and a spanner in his hand.

There were many suspects as this was a football training camp, Lots of players were swimming in the sea but there were players still in the kitchen. Dining room, Lounge, Hall, Study, Library, Billiard room, Conservatory and Ballroom.

Inspector Clouseau was called to investigate the murder scene.

Mr Thompson was the 1st to be asked of his whereabouts...I was in the Library having a small sausage sandwich.

Mr Rooney and where were you...I was having breakfast in the Kitchen where I took a call from my Uncle

Mr Elder did you see Mr Rooney in the kitchen, No I was in the Lounge all Morning watching the Australian women

Mr Mendes-Laing and where were you...I was in the Study reading a book on fast running

Mr Vickers could you tell us where you were...yes I was sat in the Hall I had my gloves on all Morning

Mr Bird where were you at this time...I was playing snooker in the Billiard Room with my Man United shirt on

Mr Washington...did you see Mr Bird at all this Morning...no I was learning to shoot from a yard out in the Ballroom

Mr Forsyth you're the only one left...where were you...Och eye the Nooo in the Conservatory inspector

All of a sudden there was a commotion coming from the Dining Room, Everyone ran to where the noise was coming from, It was pitch black in there but a noise was still in the air, Mr Clouseau then turns the light on and to everyone's amazement there sat the culprit.

Well that's bought him some time.

Still 2 strange interviews, pre and post match.

Pre match, he claimed to have no idea of the size of the Cashin bids. I find that amazing,

Post match, joked about Cashin saying goodbye then clearly stated we aren't a top 3 team. I agree with the latter but how have we got to this point.

How is that ever going to be funny Warne?

it's not a great joke when RD have to explain afterwards that it was a joke

Who knows what's happening inside Warne's mind?

He doesn't care, he wants Cashin gone so he can spend the money!

Cashin must be undecided about what to do having watched players like Matt Clarke not get a sniff at Brighton and be constantly loaned out. But it seems Warne is trying to make it as difficult as he can for Cashin to sign a deal and stay?

One s*** joke and you’ve come to that conclusion?

I've previously said that I like Warne and that his sometimes offbeat comments sort of reflect how I'd be when put in is position.

Not coming out with the expected tropes and occasionally being too self-critical,  at times too honest not to caveat some of the stuff I've said for fear of being misconstrued. Filterless but also weirdly cautious. I understand it. I empathise.

When he starts talking absolute b*******,  making excuses and coming out with contradictory nonsense which changes from one minute to the next to cover his own back... it reminds me of the worst characteristics that I myself can be and often am guilty of.

I don't want that in a football manager charged with taking us back to the Championship FFS. Great bloke even with a bit of cringe but SHUT THE f*** UP sometimes, y'know?

What other evidence is there?

All I see is triggered men reacting to another man they constantly say they hate listening to.

You've lost me. I've not listened to Warne's sarcastic 'Cashin's goodbye's' joke.
