Cambridge Utd v Derby County

at Abbey Field

3 pm

on Saturday 1st October and definitely not the 8th

I thought I’d get this started while I remember and to give you plenty of time to consider lots of different teams and set-ups before you hear our new boss and then you can move on to educated suppositions after that!

P.S. ( on the same page this week) If I knew how I’d make this bigger but I thought I’d better not deviate from Wycombe winning formula.

I'll be there on the 1st. I won't spoil it for you by revealing the result until the week after though.

Wildsmith

Chester   Davies   Cashin

Mendez-Laing       Bird       Roberts

Knight   Hourihane

Collins   McGoldrick

Subs: Loach, Stearman, Forsyth, Smith, Sibley, Barkhuizen, Dobbin

Think you will find Osula in the squad, starting even. Warne likes him by all accounts ?

The dawn of a new era. Will it be evolution or revolution? We don't have a "Rosenior will pick such and such a team" element here, so I can just go with who I would pick:

Wildsmith

Chester     Davies     Cashin     Forsyth

Sibley     Knight     Hourihane

Mendez-Laing     McGoldrick     Barkhuizen

Subs: Loach Roberts Smith Bird Collins Dobbin Osula

I think that's a pretty good stab at it. I'm still not sure about NML at wing-back though, particularly away from home.

Is this a Beer &Cider Festival or a football match. I'll give it around 2 pints in him before the new manager starts swearing.

Don't get that. Is £4 meant to be a bargain?

Won't no pre-pouring make queues longer?

I'm going with:

Wildsmith

Chester          Davies            Cashin

Bird
Mendes-Laing        Knight             Hourihane         Roberts

Collins                      McGoldrick

I think from looking at his teams from Rotherham what appears to be a 3-1-4-2 formation actually, and simply, becomes an asymmetric 4-3-3 formation with Mendes-Laing playing as high as the forward line with Bird, Knight and Hourihane a midfield three and Roberts tucking in.

Wildsmith

Chester      Davies     Cashin     Roberts

Knight      Bird      Hourihane

NML     Collins   McGoldrick
