Bris Vegas Posted January 21, 2023 Share Posted January 21, 2023 (edited) Watford in 3rd are currently on for a total finish of 73 points. Derby finished 8th with 78 points during the 2014/15 season. I can’t remember seeing two teams run away with it quite like this before. There have been standouts like Reading, Leicester, Newcastle, Wolves and Norwich who just breezed it. But has there ever been two clubs who you just knew were certs for automatic promotion in January? That season with Newcastle and Brighton maybe? I wonder what happened to their parachute payments. They got promoted, even stayed up for one season, then went down by almost breaking our record and seemingly decided not to spend any money.
