Championship | 22/23 Season

Day

Recommended Posts

Watford in 3rd are currently on for a total finish of 73 points.

Derby finished 8th with 78 points during the 2014/15 season.

I can’t remember seeing two teams run away with it quite like this before.

There have been standouts like Reading, Leicester, Newcastle, Wolves and Norwich who just breezed it.

But has there ever been two clubs who you just knew were certs for automatic promotion in January?

That season with Newcastle and Brighton maybe?

I haven’t paid much attention to the championship this season and looking at the viewing figures not many others have either - maybe that’s why more games seem to be on Sky from league one.

And we’re not in it so very little attraction for the neutral either ?

Thats a quick fall from playoff contenders, they were a only couple of refereeing decisions away from going up.

I wonder what happened to their parachute payments. They got promoted, even stayed up for one season, then went down by almost breaking our record and seemingly decided not to spend any money.

Now they are broke and League One bound.

Well that’s pointless. They’re under an embargo anyway, as is everyone, m it’s called, ‘not presently being in a transfer window’.

When the transfer window opens again, they’ll be a premier league club, and EFL restrictions won’t apply.

Way to exert your power EFL.

Even more rumours that they’ll take the -12 this season so they can swan in to league 1 without any restrictions and go again.

They'd still have a business plan to adhere to, so not quite "no restrictions".
