Football Saturdays are a thing of the past in the PL and it's sad. You have live games pretty much all days of the week (5 today!). Of course we want to be up there but it's a sad indictment of what TV has done to the game.

Isn't that because they all played in Europe in midweek, rather than for Sky?

They’ll get to 12 points easily I think

we don’t actually have the record for most losses in a row in the PL though. Sunderland had 20. Something for them to aim for

In our 11 point season , we had six points from our first 10 games .. and we had played Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Man City, all away.

If they do go down - regardless of whether or not they gain more than eleven points - they will be forever remembered as the worst squad of players ever to be assembled for the most amount of money, that ended in relegation from the Premier League.

Or, absolutely not doing a Fulham as we were informed back in the summer.

With a fit Barnes we would have had another 15 points that season no question.  We should still have had another 6 or 7 by January regardless bar two penalty misses and a truly awful refereeing performance against Chelsea and Liverpool.  February onwards however, the form was simply disgraceful not helped by Jewells decision to flog Jones and Oakley who could actually play.

It be irks a self fulfilling prophecy eventually. The longer the bad run goes, the worse your confidence gets. By Christmas we had nothing to play for but pride, and none of the mercenaries we’d got in had any of that.

forest will be in the same boat. They’ve sidelined or got rid of any of the players that gave a crap about forest, and would have some pride in their achievement last year. In favour of a bunch of no names, just happy to be in the premier league, and overpaid mercs.

After losing to Man City 6-0, Forest had a run of games they would've hoped to pick 7-12 points up from at a bare minimum.

Bournemouth H
Fulham H
Leicester A
Villa H
Wolves A

They managed to get 1.

Now, you look at their fixtures leading up to World Cup..

Brighton A
Liverpool H
Arsenal A
Brentford H
Palace H

They have to pick something up against Brighton to keep any shred of self-belief they may have for two tough games that are ultimately a loss before a ball has been kicked. They can't go into the Brentford and Palace game on the back of four consecutive losses. They really need to win those two games. I could see them picking up 3 points from their next five, but wouldn't be surprised to see them pick up zero either.

Cooper has just signed a new deal, but if they don't win a game before the world cup then he's surely gone.

Brentford and Palace will be eyeing that Forest fixture as an easy three points.

Villa already see it as two points dropped.

Forest were always going to be competitive in those first few games as they had the momentum and feel-good factor.

Now that’s drained away, the fans at the City Ground will soon turn as poor results continue and players like Jesse Lingard play half-arsed.

It has all the makings of a disaster season for them. I hope they blow another £50m+ in January chasing their losses.

What's going to be really fun is when all the bottom half teams see getting three points off forest as essential because everyone around them has had three points off forest.

Aren’t they also spending about £90 million increasing the ground capacity

Nobody sensible would suggest 50k.
I think if the capacity was 40k we'd sell out more often than not though in the top flight, or at least be regularly hitting 37k+.

One things for sure, what we have at the moment isnt enough.

Now where’s that laughing chimp again
