Other than 2 vastly experienced Championship defenders sat on their arses doing nothing, who may (only may, obviously) have been able to use that experience to help reduce the number of goals conceded, grind out the odd draw

Which would’ve made absolutely no difference to the outcome. And one of those defenders on the bench because Cashin could well be the best homegrown centre half we’ve had since Riggott. Scoring goals has been our problem all season.

You can't say for certainty that it would have made no difference, but I didn't say it would have anyway. It was in response to claims that there have been no options.

It isn't one or the other 90 minutes every game anyway, but that always seems to how it's presented.

We've played an 'uncommitted' RB/RW at left back in place of Buchanan (who's been substandard to say the least  away from home for months) instead of Forsyth. No matter how good Cashin has been he is still inexperienced and there will have been situations where Stearman's experience could have been beneficial.

Sad not to have led an unbeaten miracle of match threads through to the end of the season, and a final day miracle. Great to see the solidarity between players and fans, and on this board. We're far from out of the woods and the most important thing now is that we still have a club next season, able to take its place in League One.

Amazing to see Rooney currently committing himself to staying with us. He remains an idol for many footballers and could be the single biggest influence in persuading players to sign on again if the EFL ever allows that to happen. Clearly we have a lot of young talent at the club and it's important to keep hold of as much of it as we can. We've only been in the third tier twice before, and both times just for two years. Let's hope we can survive, stabilize the club and come back stronger.

Derby til I die!

Even though we all knew relegation was almost likely happening it's still absolutely gutting to see us finally fall through the trap door. It's so hard to stomach, hope Mel is feeling an extra dose of shame tonight the useless ****. If we'd just won a couple more games away then we'd have been able to do it I think but it wasn't to be. We'll mourn today and start the re-build on monday for what will be a tough division 3 campaign.

Division 3 !!!!!???????
