Just got back from a Caribbean Cruise. ???

can’t say it was the best because after about 1 day all the countries went into lock down. In fairness the weather was great but we just sailed around the Caribbean Sea. Finally the British High Commission managed to get us to dock at Jamaica and with a police escort straight onto the plane we were allowed to leave.
I have been given a 75% refund on the holiday which was a lot more than I expected.

Friend of mine's daughter is a dancer on Royal Caribbean and they are now just moored off Florida with no passengers.

Easyjet have some deals on for the end of the year...

Little Angry's girlfriend was stuck in Marrakesh until late last night. Mad panic to get them out but EasyJet were pretty good. They often get a bad rep but did really well under really difficult circumstances.

I had a month in Africa planned for work to be followed by a week in North Italy for a family holiday. This was to have been followed by two weeks in North East China for work.

Unsurprisingly most of this time will now be spent in the East Midlands

I think I've said before but, due to my wife's cancer we've gone from getting away three times a year to not having been away for a while. Our holiday to Florida at the end of May would have been our first for two years but, it is now 99.99% gone. So, assuming all is OK (which I doubt) we'll probably now do Eurocamp in either the Dordogne or the Mediterranean coast of France near the Pyrenees early September. Much quieter and you can get some some deals if you can avoid the school holidays as we can.

  • 3 weeks later...

We normally have a Florida holiday and then a few UK camping trips scattered in from May to September. Obviously and foreign holiday is off and no sign of when the campsites are going to be open, so I'm intending to pitch the tent in the garden on a warm weekend, sleep in the tent & do the cooking outside etc.

If we can't go camping, the camping will come to us.

Crap in the flower beds for that authentic feel.

We mentioned similar last night.  I can see us pitching ours too, if this drags on much longer!

*I'll still use the wee bucket though... I won't have time to fiddle about with back door keys to get in the house at 3am!  ?

Hope you splash your crocs. ?

Bucket for inside the tent.  Crocs for outside the tent.  Never the twain shall meet!   ?

Oh... and it has a seat/lid combo, so I sit down anyway.  Last thing we want on our canvas is splashback!  ?

You piss where you sleep and prepare food?

What if a two slips out?

Our Gert won't even let me use the en-suite, mainly because we don't have one.

Also, I think it weighs on her mind the time I used one in a showhome, only to discover they'd not plumbed the water in.
