Ten Million. Unbelievable. Top player on his day and an academy graduate so I am sad to see him go (if he indeed goes), but £10m is absolutely crazy money. Would've snapped their hands off at £6m.

Good luck Jeff!

As it transpires you'd have done us out of £4 million then   Good thing the guys handling things are a tad more restrained.

Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick has today left the club to join Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old Academy graduate has put pen-to-paper with the Premier League outfit after a fee was agreed for his services.

Hendrick, in total, made 214 appearances for the club after making his professional debut in April 2011, having previously spent two years in the Rams’ Academy as a scholar.

He wrote himself into club folklore by scoring his first career goal in the memorable local derby win at Nottingham Forest in 2011.

Other highlights included two Goal of the Season accolades, in 2012/13 and 2014/15, and a 200th career appearance against Manchester United in January of this year.

His fine form for Derby saw him capped by the Republic of Ireland for the first time in 2013 and he went on to star in the 2016 European Championships.

Derby County would like to wish Jeff every success in his future career and thank him his contribution during his time with the Rams.
