I really don't understand why the club can't offer fans without a printer the opportunity to come to the ground a bit earlier and print there. I was on a plane the other day. At the airport they had a simple option of scanning your id in, finding your booking in the system and then being able to quickly print off your ticket. Doesn't need to be even this complex, a few laptops linked up to a few cheap printers would suffice.

I think some aren't bothering because they don't have printers but I think some might not be bothering because they feel like the club isn't bothered about them and appears to be unwilling to put simple solutions in place to help them. This I think has upset a lot of people and you can't blame them.

The club is a business and should be ran as such where the customer/fan is treated with kindness and respect. Sadly this is not the case right now.

Perhaps Micheal O'Leary is taking over and getting the fans used to doing everything themselves same as on Ryanair, next the club will be charging more for the larger person as they take more room up  ?

Be interesting to know whether this 'business plan' thingy is something other clubs have been forced to submit, or whether this is another entirely new precedent the EFL are 'trialling' with Derby.

    Bamfords...

People have been critical of the EFL for allowing clubs to go to the wall so the business plan could be a safeguard that the club doesn't go under Seems the EFL can't win.

There was something about Birmingham being ordered by the EFL to accept a bid for Che Adams that was worth significantly below what they valued him at, they refused and ended up with a points deduction.  If we end up in the position where the EFL are ordering us to sell players for less than what they're worth, I'd say that makes us almost unsaleable.  No new owner would be willing to accept that.  And of course, if it turns out that the EFL would be willing to drop an imposed business plan for a new owner, then it just backs up the "personal vendetta against Mel Morris" arguments...

But i can't see a new owner just wanting to put enough money in to keep the club "ticking over" so it's understandable the imposed business plan would be lifted

  4. I would think that with Keogh having found to be unlawfully dismissed and the club ordered to pay up his contract in full that becomes part of the wage bill especially if a monthly payment has been arranged which i imagine would not be less than what he was on per month

  5. We don't know if other outstanding matters have been brought up to date, payments to Cocu and staff along with Keogh.I would imagine these are being paid monthly as MM wouldn't want to fork out a large lump sum, perhaps that is why the EFL have only allowed the club to offer 6 month contracts or perhaps the players union, who also represent Keogh, have raised concern with the EFL about possible late payments. We will never be privy to that information but It may not be as One sided as some posters are suggesting.

Putting Morrison and Bird in front of the back four and decent opposition would soon rampage through our lightweight midfield, exposing our 2 CBs (as competent as they are at this level).

Shinnie is probably a level down from Eustace but even in those days there were fans who refused to acknowledge the importance of having someone in that defensive midfielder role. Given our current position in the Championship and the unlikely possibility of us mounting any sort of serious challenge for a play-off position, it's essential we have a certain physical presence in our midfield and until a fully-fit Bielik is back in the squad Shinnie is the only player in the squad who will provide that.

This is the sort of match Shinnie should be playing in, we need a player who will get stuck in, harass and close down the opposition when they get the ball. Give them a bit of needle to rile them up.

  7. I haven't had a season ticket for the last 3 -4 years and only been to a handful of matches in that time due to chronic health problems. Being confined to barracks for about 16 months due to being in the extremely vulnerable group regarding Covid hasn't helped matters much but i am still as passionate about Derby as i always have been from when i started going to the BBG in the 70's. Would i feel safe going again in the future, the honest answer is no.

Surely the club will have to make some kind of statement on Wednesday?

(Even if only to confirm submission of accounts)

They will, along the lines of , unfortunately due to staff still being on furlough the submission of accounts has been delayed.

I'd finish my 92/72 - or 52 or however many are left by then!

Then I'd go back to my first love Ofton Town.

My 1st ever proper football match (paying to watch) was Alfreton v Barrow FA cup 1969. Seems to be a lot more enjoyment watching grass roots football if i'm honest.

I thought it was because they wouldn't (or maybe couldn't) pay Frank what Frank thought he was worth?

But Frank said ‘Harry, it’s difficult because they’ve got no budget and I can’t bring any players in, what can I do?’
