Alonso to be named head of recruitment
-
Come on,give Rooney some credit,he planned it all for the sake of the club, sell the pictures to the highest bidder to help pay the HMRC bill. It was only when the highest bid only reached £2.50 he realised there was a flaw in his plan
-
At least he is consistent, not knowing the best position to play in

I wonder if it will be classed as bringing the club into disrepute (if it's true) might save MM Six weeks wages, every little helps he said, tapping his back pocket

How can mel pay the debts when been no money coming In for past 2 years nearly.
All the other clubs have been in the situation with no money coming in but don't seem to be in the same situation as us,if the club can't pay it's debts then it goes into administration

Are we waiting until the August deadline to submit the accounts in the required format?
They must have been done months ago ... in order to inform our legal team ... so, why not submit them now ...
That might bring some clarity.
Or it might just open another can of worms when they are submitted, if everything is in order then why wait.

Most likely he's waiting to see if the new owners do come in and hopefully rescue the situation and his reputation with cash and new players......
If it doesn't happen asap.then he's back in the position I've described...he can't walk away without losing serious potential compo,so he'd need the next club to make up for it (not a problem for man u or city, less so for Salford).
I don't think, with the money Rooney has, that compo is a factor, people would be saying he walked away from a club in turmoil, he stays,we get relegated and still comes out of it with some credability as being shown a battler for trying to survive in the championship with the poor squad/finances people knew the club was in before the season even started
-
Maybe it's more than just HMRC,i would imagine there are outstanding monies owed to Cocu and his assistants as well as Keogh in which a payment plan is possibly in place. If that is the case and the club has defaulted on those then that would be of interest to the EFL

I got an email from Tesco clubcard reminding me i have vouchers about to expire. Perhaps he had some of those he can add too to fund signings? God we're bored arent we
If only garages still gave away triple Greenshield stamps,we could have all sent them into PP for Rooney to have a look through the players for sale book

Pearce was also keen to point out he had nothing to do with that deal. Which I think is a shocking admission in itself for the CEO.
Probably shows how desperate MM is to sell, Pearce might have seen through Alonso and didn't want to get involved.

Who knows but perhaps because he didn't make the Wales squad he handed a transfer request in and due to the parlous state of our squad Rooney gave him the armband as a way of keeping him this season

There's a CB available on a free just released by Huddersfield

Starting line up next season:
GK: Clough & Taylor Statue
RB: Rammie
CB: Private Derby
CB: Derek from Chad
LB: Walking Backwards Man
RM: The King of Rome
CM: Robert Lindsay
CM: Robert Maxwell's Re-animated Corpse
LM: Owen Bradley
CF: The Steve Bloomer Bust
CF: Kenco Coffee Cup
I bet we'd still do better than last season.
Derek from Chad has raised concerns that he will be spotted by someone from the DWP and his disability benefits will be stopped but has been informed by the club not too worry as he will play in disguise and use the pseudonym RoyMac5

I think all fans including Muespach listen to the Rams Review podcast with Kieran Maguire. It is very enlightening.
Do you mean the Kieran Maguire who everyone was slagging off a couple of weeks ago.

We could do a reality tv show where we give X factor style process to get new manager with cameras following everything around.
May as well go the full circus...

There's a new film out on Sky Cinema called RAMS (2020), i thought for a minute we had film makers in behind the scenes

We need a respected sports journalist to put some time looking into all this and then write a damning article about the EFL. This has descended beyond chronic incompetence it is now nothing short of victimisation.
I repeat what I said on another thread. At this moment in time it is not established if we gained an unfair advantage regarding FFP as our revised accounts have not been submitted, so put that in the pending file! Regarding our lack of clarity in declaring out unique but legal amortisation policy we have been found guilty on appeal and fined £100k. End of!!
What the heck are Wycombe on about? IF and its a big IF we eventually fail FFP when our accounts are submitted then blame the EFL for taking too long to sort it out but what has that got to do with DCFC?
The big question is, why haven't the revised accounts been submitted

I would imagine this will make no difference whatsoever, why would they want to get involved in a personal matter between the EFL and DCFC. Surely if MM/DCFC felt he was being victimised lawyers would be all over the caseHow many owners of other clubs in the Championship stand behind MM,possibly One or Two if we are lucky. It is up to MM to get onto the sports minister if he thinks that is also the case. Personally i don't think we are aware of all the true facts and are clutching at straws. Emails should be sent to MM to come clean, not the government.

Outrageous comments from the Wycombe chairman and probably worthy of litigation
He probably has more of an insight than we,as fans,do.

Does that mean Wycombe could take our point totals and we take theirs ?
Why punish Wycombe further by giving them a zero points tally

I am so long in the tooth that I remember seeing Ian Storey Moore play for Forest against us at the BBG. I felt sorry for him being part of that team.
My point is I think Kam will flourish with better players around him. Jury is out, we will have to wait and see. He clearly has talent that needs unlocking.
With the current squad and manager we have he has no chance of his talent being unlocked with us

At this moment in time it's not another rookie manager we need, especially one who is already a team member. We need an outsider to come in (who, i don't know) could be as dull as dishwater but that wouldn't matter so long as he got the best out of the players and stabilised the team.
