Do the club realise that we need some players for these fixtures to happen?
Don't worry, the matches are only 5 a side to minimise the risk of injuries

Our auditor accepted in the first proceedings that the notes were wonky
There’s an argument that the LAP is not a court of law, and that therefore it’s still open to the club to argue that the draft accounts were compliant. But I hope Mel doesn’t go there
MM probably hasn't got the will or energy to argue anymore,he just wants rid.

That's better! Gotta love a new "doom and gloom" thread.
I woudn't say a "doom and gloom" thread, more of a reality check

The Spanish Kid would not have been able to deposit cash in a British bank account as requested by the EFL because no bank with a branch in the UK would have let him open an account without intense scrutiny and certainly would not have accepted any cash without a full paper trail as to the source of that cash. Money laundering is a very serious offence, HSBC paid a 1.92 BILLION pound fine for accepting dodgy deposits and if you need further proof try buying a house for cash in the UK or USA, you have to provide full transparency as to the source of the funds.
Having cash in an overseas account with a bank statement was apparently not difficult for the Kid but a full explanation as to the source of those funds did not stand up to the EFL's scrutiny.
How many on here would have been happy for the club to have been purchased and bankrolled with unexplainable monies?
The EFL did the right thing.
Especially when he tried to pay in Pesato's and his excuse was his grandad had been saving up all his life as he knew sometime in the future he wanted to buy a football club

What happens if they think they're buying a classic horse racing venue only to be bitterly disappointed? ?
They would soon find out that they had bought a load of poorly trained nags

Nobody should ever be stabbed going out, what is the world becoming , but I assume covid restrictions didn’t apply to professional footballers.
Not being political here but maybe taking the knee for BLM should be changed to "Lives Not Knifes" campaign, the coverage would be immense

Let’ s leave it there. I’m a MM fan. Problem is he’s not perfect and if I try (again) to explain where I think he’s messed up ON OCCASION it seems like I don’t appreciate what he has done for us. So I don’t want to do that.
btw I respect that you want to encourage positivity on hereAnyone know a good spin doctor

Guess education lessons on how to properly run a football club would be more in order.
Just like when you get caught speeding by the filth and you can either take the points and fine or go on a speed awareness course.
But when you think the law is an ass then you ignore it by trying to get round it, an awareness course would be no good

Yeah, I did check the other day too. It's not surprising if you believe the reports then we're due anything between a instant relegation to League One or a slap on the wrist.
I would imagine with no point deductions, looking at the odds, we would be around 4/1 to be relegated (similar to Preston and Bristol City which is quite generous) and around 12/1 for promotion. If we have a points deduction then I'd imagine we would be 20/1 for promotion and 2/1 for relegation, perhaps less (15/8) in that ball park.
I read somewhere the other day the odds for next season as things stand now,we are 66/1 with only 2 clubs promoted with longer odds

I don't think for a minute many,if any, clubs find themselves in the situation we are in,we were in it before Covid took a grip
Other clubs can still afford decent wages. They are shopping at Waitrose or M&S, we are shopping at Aldi/Lidl looking at Yellow stickered bargain players who are coming up to their best before or use by dates

We don't need the EFL to invoke a 12 point deduction ,we are quite capable of doing that ourselves 6 matches into the season
