Hear me out because I've got posting fever at the moment.
Would anyone on here be gutted if rooney did leave? If he resigned today it would be a shambles, sure I agree on that, but if he left and we put someone like steve mac in charge I feel that over the course of the season we might be better off.
Just talking out loud really, I'm not saying it should happen.
How Steve Mac has been treated in the past do you really think he would touch the job.

I’m usually in this camp (don’t protest unless it’s necessary) and have been until yesterday. And you’re right, protesting does seem pointless as Mel is openly trying to get out.
However, I still think protesting has a purpose in this instance. Mel worries that protests could potentially “put off” investors and those groups attempting to takeover the club. On the flip side, it also shows any potential new owners that the fans care about the club and won’t just accept it being run in a bad way. Just a thought…
Potentially "put off" new investors etc. is just a smokescreen. MM in all his vanity won't be able to stand to hear fans protesting against him,his comment if fans start chanting "Mel out" he might just walk says it all.

Utterly pointless exercise - he wants to sell - someone needs to actually buy ( and hopefully it’s an improvement)
support the lads wearing the Derby county Shirts
Yes everybody is aware of MM wanting to sell, maybe it's how he wants to sell,as the club stands with all the debts etc., and prospective buyers saying you sort all the mess out then we will buy

no but there is hope. I dont know how he has kept the out of contract people at the club so long I would have been off
Rooney has probably relayed to them what he had been told by MM. I can't see Rooney stating he expected to see signings in the next 48 hours (last weekend) if he hadn't been given assurances from higher up.

I'm guessing we're playing with 2 goalkeepers. Might as well we've tried everything else!

Brilliant. This gets better and better.
Though there could be a number of explanations. Could have signed the others and not him, could have signed none of them, Rooney could have walked.
We all know how good the club are at keeping us informed so we won’t have to wait long to find out ????

Did i read that right from Nixon... if no players signed b4 KO and we field the kids, that means they are professionals, which means that takes the place of the 4 players we could sign
And MM gets what he wants which is more academy players in the 1st team.

You will know when David posts his report as the site will crash as it won't be able to cope with the amount attempting to view it

He didn’t say it. He said (according to Jim Wheeler) that if we lose a few games at start of the season and we see protests and placards saying Mel out etc then it might put off prospective investors. Any protests won’t serve any purpose because Mel himself wants out and has been trying to get out for 2 years.
If he has genuinely been trying to get out for the last 2 years why, during that time, has he allowed things to escalate, late payments to HMRC, late transfer payments, players not being paid on time. If he thought prospective buyers would come in, take over the club and sort the mess out in those circumstances then he must be deluded. Possibly the reason the club are waiting until the 18th until the revised accounts are submitted is his hope he would have sold up by then. When the revised accounts are revealed it might just open a new can of worms which will lead to any new buyers not touching the club with the proverbial barge pole

For a start i don't have Twitter and i don't always agree with some comments @Davidmakes but to have a go at him is totally out of order,if what Punjabi Rams have tweeted is correct (and no thought to consider otherwise) @David is as probably as dismayed as the rest. I understand fans wanting answers and throw their frustrations at someone but @Davidis not that man.

Just shows what a laughing stock we have become when a certain bookmaker (although in jest) releases a breaking news release about Rooney and the club. I must admit it did make me laugh.

There's some middle ground like anything in life Roy, I don't think the majority of supporters expect a public hanging as you put it but a prepared series of answers to pre-fed questions is the other end of the spectrum.
I'd be happy if Mel was asked a series of challenging, robust questions some of which may be slightly uncomfortable for him to answer but nevertheless totally relevant and important to be answered given the gravity of the current situation.
Does anyone really think that there are going to be any concrete answers to what's going on,just more platitudes, things are in progress etc, etc. Cannot comment on this and that for confidentially reasons.

Thought we had a good Second half when we had the change around the 55 minute mark team seemed to gel better, considering the players that have left i think we are better than the doom mongers are saying

You know what it's like when you've been out on the lash in a strange city, poor lad was hungry and with it being a budget hotel there was no night porter to make him some food. He got on the phone to get a meals on wheels delivery but in his stupor he misdialled and finished up with heels on wheels

So what are fans who buy season tickets or pay on the day etc. goods from the clubs shop, according to you they never put a penny into the club.
