There must have been records available for the auditors.

You’d have thought so wouldn’t you?
But I’m fairly sure I remember the disciplinary committee saying that we could not provide any evidence - no minutes, or formulas, or research.

They did exactly that. MM said they looked at 25,000 historical transfers and correlated them to remaining contract length. The defence of our amortisation policy was the strongest part of the interview.

poo..Mel gives support to Rooney..and appears to be saying he has done him a favour by having this tiny squad lol

Thanks. I’m a little hard of hearing, and thought I must have misheard that.
Well there’s an obvious boost then - get rid of a few more players so we can be even more competitive!

We scored two goals, first time in ages. That's another positive for me.

And let’s be honest could and should have been 4. Open goal for Morrisson, a clear chance for Baldock and several crosses fizzing across the face of the goal by Byrne that unfortunately no-one anticipated.

Sounds about right. They’ve had most the ball, and play out from the back.

Plenty of passes around the back with Sawyers probably clocking up more than our entire midfield combined.

We’ve primarily just countered. And done it very well so far.

Fair point. I still think from my perspective on the half way line that we’ve had more of the ball than 33% but that’s perhaps the difference between “possession” and “purposeful possession”.

Having 4 up front when we sweep forward makes such a difference and Stoke have no idea what to do with Morrison..

Well they clearly have. Forearm smash, clip his heels, push in the back. They’ve been quite inventive … but totally ineffective

I have said this before, but I bet nobody whose seat would have been dearer this season is writing to the club demanding that they be allowed to pay more to get them in line with people around them!

The club has simplified the pricing structure and there will be winners and losers, but I think this is one thing we shouldn't be beating the club up about.

Rams TV was worth every penny of the difference in my season ticket price imo. They were my lifeline in very strange times last season.

It wouldn’t have been very hard to email people with a message appropriate to their circumstances. There aren’t that many variations.
Forget politeness, or reasonableness, it’s  just basic good business sense to keep people informed.

For me that message would have been:

Thanks for your support. Your season ticket is now in a lower price category. While there will always be winners and losers in any pricing change, we believe the “free” Rams TV that you received last year more than compensates.

Well after over 2 weeks since my first email, the club have finally got back to me saying they will not reimburse me for the difference in cost of my season ticket. The price I could have renewed at this year is around £75 less than the price I paid when I renewed ahead of last season - great way to reward my loyalty of renewing for 10+ seasons.

£75 may not seem much to some people, but add in the fact ive had to pay double for my sons season ticket with the Rams Squad Membership 'free' season ticket not being a thing this year. Double whammy.

Had exactly the same response. Their argument was that I had Rams TV for free. Well it’s not free if I’ve paid for it is it!!!!!

We can't moan about the penalities given Forsyth should've been sent off in the 6th minute and set up our goal 4 minutes later.

Ravel was blowing from about 60 minutes onwards and should've been replaced by Watson.

And Roos is an absolute fraud, a complete and utter liability - whenever there's a bit of pressure he just crumbles.

You mean like when he made that outstanding fingertip save when there was just as much pressure?

it was a mistake for sure, but those suggesting Marshall is better (not saying you are one of those by the way) are conveniently forgetting similar blunders from him.

Interstingly, there are about 6 or 7 clips of him beating the defender with skill before cutting to another highlight. Where is the cross or killer pass? It was probably scuffed or failed to beat the first man.

Exactly what I thought. But there was also plenty of good stuff too.
let’s hope that with a bit of encouragement, and some other forward players with attacking intent that he can link up with, that he’ll come good for us.

He can't stay even if he played for free. Barcelona's wage to turnover ratio is still way too high even without Messi and they cannot register new players, which includes Messi, until they get the wages down to 70% of their turnover.

He also isn't legally allowed to take more than a 50% pay cut as per Spanish law. Not sure what else you expect him to do.

He wanted to stay at the club he has been at for his entire life, but was not allowed to thanks to circumstances outside of his control. If a man can't cry after leaving a place that has been home for almost 30 years what the hell can he cry at.

Thanks for clarifying. Interesting example then of the law doing the exact opposite of its intent.

Messi is a fantastic player and his numbers are still extremely good but he's not going to get any better. His salary even for someone as good as he is really is monstrous. If he really wanted to stay there he could have let's be honest, offering to halve your 70 million dollar a year salary is a nice gesture but for a club that financially is in the toilet he could have done more than that if he wanted to. He could play for free and he'd still earn an absolute fortune in sponsorships. Research tends to suggest after 60k a year the relationship between money and happiness delinks and he's not going to run dry anytime soon.

It’s worse than that. It was £123m a year and he offered to halve it. For a 5 year contract.
So circa £300m and he’s bleating that he’s having to walk away from the club he loves.
    That’s utter tosh.
