Stearman played on 3 players for the goal.
I mean when the first ball came in. It then went back out and back in again. But you can’t have 3 players offside in the middle of the play and just ignore it.
To be fair I don’t know if it was one of those who then scored. -
3 players off side when the first ball came in.

I do, so my opinion on him is that his pace and directness can be an asset for the side, he’s got a bit of skill too, he needs to work on his composure in front of goal and that will come in time with more practice and confidence if/when he does score some more. He can be wasteful and frustrating at times, which I think is your observation, that doesn’t make him “the most wasteful striker we’ve had for years”, especially when he’s only played a limited number of games in comparison to others down the years.
I’ve been frustrated with him and wondered what he offered. Today I’ve tried to look at the good and there’s a lot to like. The criticisms about his finishing are valid, but he’s getting into those positions. Hopefully once he gets a couple, he’ll relax and the goals will flow.

Hmm, now I've typed that and thought about it a bit..
...this is actually all Liam Rosenior's fault! Like, all of it. Everything
Rooney was a miracle worker having to put up with this chump as his assistant, dragging him down and causing all the problems with our play.
Warne's now going to have a massive job fixing all of the problems Liam has left him with, the useless little s***!
Crikey. A pat on the back for me. I knew I'd get there eventually!
And to think I worried that sarcasm was a dying art. You’ve restored my faith ?

It's not a stupid question but I'm not sure there's a sensible answer.
I've often wondered why playing at home is such an advantage in the lower leagues at least. The pitches have to be within a certain size and, I think, they are mostly of a reasonable standard. Also, when you're only playing in front of a few thousand, the crowd shouldn't really make that much difference to a professional footballer.
I wonder what would happen if LR approached the Cambridge game exactly the same as if we were playing them at home? Of course there is the variable that Cambridge will set up differently.
I can't help but think, often,it's just a psychological thing but then, I've never been a professional footballer or a coach. ?
I’ve seen somewhere , and I’m afraid I can’t remember where or I’d reference it, that it pertains to pitch size.
Where the pitch sizes are similar, the away record tends to be a much closer match to the home record.
While pitches must be within certain limits, the permutations within those limits can be quite diverse. Some pitches are long and narrow, others almost square. You can see how that would have an effect on a team.
The layout of the stadium wasn’t mentioned in that analysis, but you can see how that could have an effect too on perception of distance that might affect passing accuracy/weight.- ram59 and Tamworthram

Well we’ve been saying all season that we need to make our away form match our home form.

there such a place as second world?
Not really any more.
The original definition was based on First World being US, Western Europe and democratic countries aligned to them. The Second World referred to the communist-socialist, less industrialized states under the influence of the Soviet Union. The Third World was everything else.

Rosenior reckons he’ll bag 5-10 goals in League 1 and is confident Hourihane can create the 300-400 one on ones he’ll need to achieve it.
Great guy, tried hard, and couldn’t fault his attitude, but I think my amendments are closer to the mark.

Corners are seriously overrated in this country. The conversion rate across the PL is 3%.
Just a waste of training time as an attacking tactic. You'd be better off knocking it back to your goalkeeper and starting the attack again.
We had 14 corners yesterday. A 3% conversion rate gives a goal every 2-3 games. That’s probably worth practicing.

As others have said, it does depend on things like:
- thin profile
- number of openers
- any leading
- reflective / coated / specialist gas filled
etc.
best go for like for like quotes from 2 or 3.

Well done Sibley. Completely wrong footed the defence with that. Lovely play

Promising first 10. Even after that really. Oxford have had more half-chances. Lack of creation and penetration other than NML is worrying. We look fairly blunt so far.
I’m watching on Rams TV from holiday. Missed the first 25 minutes, so can’t comment on that, but from then we’ve been comfortably in front.
Our problem is the killer instinct. Maybe it will come. -

Heck of a spine to that team, but not a lot of width. Can’t see it working.

Just for info, I had spoken with @Ram Logan Josh earlier and volunteered to get one - someone else had volunteered too, so we got one each.
This afternoon I went into the shop to get a first team shirt. Because they didn’t have any in the correct size I got a larger one that won’t fit for a couple of years and a training top that should fit straight away.
They were posted today and should be with the boy tomorrow.

There’s something very satisfying about the thought that Mr Ploppy of the Bristol forum may see them walking around Bristol wearing Derby shirts ?

Please could someone do me a big favour and post a photo of their ST card (with personal info obscured obviously)?
I thought that the original decision was that last season’s cards wouldn’t be reused so I consigned mine to the drawer that has my random dcfc memorabilia - tickets and the like. What i now realise is that the ST cards don’t have the relevant seasons written on them so I’m not sure which of them out of the several i have will be the ones for this season coming.
Thank you.Thank you!!!! I did exactly the same thing. I look after my brother’s and my season tickets, but he was adamant that he had his.
The ones I have look like the photograph @Rev sent. The one my brother has looks like this. Does anyone know how old this is?

think we have to going forward as supporters. we turned a blind eye too long which led to the position we got in.
I’ll be honest, I did think you were overdoing it but that observation stopped me dead. We did overly trust that the previous owner was doing things reasonably and was prepared to cover his gambles himself. We were wrong and so a request to demonstrate a little caution this time around isn’t unreasonable. Once bitten, twice shy as the saying goes.

I’m glad I’m not alone. He’s very David Brent isn’t he?
I’m reserving judgement on his ability as a football manager because he’s come into a challenging situation.
