  1. Does anyone know why CK can’t or won’t lease the stadium from MM?  You can only assume MM is asking for a lease cost way above market rates…….. perhaps the positioning on leasing other stadiums is “tactical” and they have done the benchmarking of costs to support negotiations.  Maybe MM put the lease rates so high to force the stadium purchase……. hence why the council are involved as they would give reasonable lease rates.

If this reflects reality then I remain hopeful that there will be a positive outcome from this mornings meeting. ??

Effectively, County have to play at home when Fo*est play away, and visa versa.

There'd be nowhere to slot us in.

    Never going to happen (imo).

    EDIT:
Fixture-wise, Burton would work (as their only "local rival" is us)... but that's just far too small, I guess?

Not a fan of ground share and hope it doesn’t come to that but Chesterfield is at least in the county - only holds 10,500 but that’s probably all we’d get in the circumstances.  Other than that Donny Rovers ground is quite nice ?

    My thoughts:

Kirchner not my 1st or 2nd choice, but I did find myself being a teeny bit jealous when it seemed he was closing in on Preston, especially with Cook going with him.

Ashley was always my number 1, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought he wouldn't be good for us in league 1, or 2, same with Appleby. I'd imagine they would keep their money firmly in their pockets and we would have to hope we have a Steve McClaren type season, an anomaly, to get up.

Kirchner is an unknown, his wealth, his ambitions, but, assuming he does have the money, he might be the best fit for us in league 1.

Rooney thinks highly of him, their ambitions were aligned, according to Rooney.  There is a much better chance of Rooney stopping next year now.

The hurdles that Nixon refers to are probably stadium related. Kirchner is being announced PB with a caveat that says the stadium is purchased by DCC and leased back. That is probably 1 of the hurdles he is referring to.

I am firmly ready to fall in love and be hurt all over again.

Based on his business background I believe he will be innovative in his approach to ownership……. I’m sure he will have new ideas (legitimate ones hopefully!!)

The administrators have moaned about someone dragging out the process and wasting time.

I wonder who that could be.

Not sure if you are inferring Kirchner or not but my take is Mike Ashley.

CK bid on the table 23rd December, Mike Ashley infers Expression of Interest…… Admin have to listen as this could give the creditors more return, CK withdraws bid dueto lack of progress and no formal bid from MA is forthcoming…….. hence Admin comment about time waster.  It now seems CK bid was the best that was going to be available

Apologies if already mentioned, but could Chris Kirchner now be back in for us? Found the collapse of his Preston bid rather odd.

He’s seemingly posted on Twitter “in time, everything will make sense in time” ?

I can't say that Wayne bring manager or not next season will have any bearing on my season tickets purchase for next year or indeed the division we are playing in.

That’s fantastic and I’m sure there are many others who think the same. ?

If you are in a position to not have to “think” about prioritising spend in these times then brilliant - it must be a great feeling.  I suspect many season ticket holders will have to balance spend in the next 12 months and give serious consideration to renew or not to renew.

My main point was that if Wayne is manager next season I will be there come what may, irrespective of which league we are in - partly because it is a good signal towards the new owners intentions but also because the loyalty that Wayne has shown the club deserves my loyalty in return, irrespective of other factors.

Reality is that if we still have a club next season then I’m sure I will be there, as I have been for the last 45 years.  COYR

  7. Just listened to the press conference……….

Assuming we still have a club next season I will be a season ticket holder come what may (League 1, -15 points etc.) if Wayne Rooney is manager of our great club as this will give me some comfort about the clubs future direction.  If he leaves for any reason then I will have to seriously consider the + £1000 outlay on ticket and travel in times of unprecedented increases in the cost of living.

Message to Administrators / potential bidders………… I’m sure I’m not alone in this view.

We’ll if you thought quantama were useless before this has thrown a bit F you to all derby fans. I remember being confident. Was told Mike Ashley was PB and the deal suited all creditors. What that must of meant is Ashley offered enough to avoid 15 point deduction but wanted the stadium for free. We’re in a stand-off here and the only person losing this is derby fans. Mel wants his 20 million so he can pay his personal MSD loan off in full. Ashley wants it at the cheapest price possible. The admins clearly want more money and aren’t really working in the best interests of the club or creditors. It’s a messy situation but we all know who is still calling the shots at the club. First name begins with M and second also begins with M.

    Mickey Mouse??

Ashley will probably have linked the purchase of the club with the stadium I.e. my offer is the asking price but only if I get the stadium for £10m - he will want Morris to contribute and I can’t blame him.  It’s Mel’s mess!!

I’d like to hope that we are in the final stages of negotiation and that the variable is the stadium cost. It will go on for as long as Mel holds firm on the price……….. still optimistic that a deal will be done……..Mel is a Ram at heart and I’m sure wouldn’t want his legacy to be the demise of DCFC.  ?

I think it'll be a few days before I find my voice.

    Incredible.

One of the top five mosh pits of all time for the goal.

The spirit of the club at the moment is second to none. Cannot remember fans chanting from the stands all the way back to town after a game before.

The atmosphere reminded me of the home game against Rotherham on a Friday night in 1986 when Trevor Christie sent us up to the old Division 2 with a penalty on a boggy Baseball Ground pitch.  The atmosphere in the ground, back to town and afterwards in town was something else.  For me to reflect on that game yesterday means it was something special ??.

£2.5m applies to the current season so has no impact of the penalties we've suffered. It does however give us (up to) an extra £2.5m budget for current and future periods.

The 2021 period includes averaged 19/20 and 20/21 losses. Im not quite sure if I've understood the statement correctly, but it's one of two scenarios.

    1. £5m extra allowance in 20/21, results in £1.96m overspend becoming ££0.54m under the limit.

    2. We used a £5m allowance rather than what the actual Covid losses were (£13m min, actual £15/16m estimated). The impact being £2/3m under the limit.

The impact on our deductions? Under standard P&S penalties, 2021 deduction should have been 3 points (out of a total 17). Given our reduced penalty, we're talking about 2 points unjustly taken off us.

It will of course say in the small print that these new allowances will not apply to any clubs currently in Administration ?
