“As part of the conditions of continuing membership in the EFL, the Club, whilst remaining under a registration embargo, will be permitted to sign new players in accordance with the terms of a business plan.

The plan, which has been jointly agreed by the new ownership and the EFL, includes restrictions in respect of transfers fees, player wages and agents’ fees. Any application to register players must comply with the terms of those agreed plans. ”

Pfft do stress all the straight jacket stuff.

Typical of them, bunch of Bar stewards. They can all rot.

Except they aren't deadlines and it's not (usually) them but third parties who are missing them, or in the case a few months back when they tried to set an actual deadline for bids, intentionally ignoring them becuse they know we're not in a position to say "or else".

    (added in edit:)

One problem is that there's only one party here who's having to front up any of the responsibility and give updates, everyoneI'm just sick of the biased reporting.  else can hide away and say nothing without any blowback, allowing the administrators to take the brunt of the criticism.

I'm not sure even Mel & Kirchner have had the same level of vitriol aimed at them! Probably because they have the benefit of being able to go silent.

I’m not going to argue that point with you, I’ve no time for Morris, parasite click bait reporters or the EFL. However, call it deadlines, time frames, whatever, whether they are having front up when others don’t have to, sure I get that and i agree but still, Quantama are the ones making a statement of what is going to happen.

If there is other parties, that could cause the delay, you provision for it in that statement or at least don’t set yourself up for a fall. Yet they continually have and in doing so, disappoint many people; not the best at managing expectations at the very least.

How many self imposed "deadlines" have quantuma missed now? Its absolutely farcical. An absolute joke.

For however complex the signing off the last few papers, this is what really, really winds everyone up.

You would think they would learn, but right to the end, true to everything before, they keep missing their deadlines. Communication shrouded by the cloak of NDA’s can be tolerated but I’ve not seen anyone able to force them to state the timelines, it’s THEIR deadlines that are missed!

For a professional outfit, it’s shockingly unprofessional. Hope they never get another sports gig again, can’t see how anyone would want this for any other sporting organisation with a fan base.

I’m talking about it didn’t help us for 2 years over .

I don’t even think MPs pressure has helped either .

The EFL ,Boro and to some extent Wycombe have stuffed Mel and Derby County.

David Clowes a lifelong fan has hopefully saved us at the last hour .

Pretty much what they all said.

I’m no fan of any of them but in my opinion, had we been a smaller club, without their pressing due to many fan voices in the political ears, the EFL and administration process would have seen us die like Bury.

    Won’t help us though unfortunately.

With the EFL rules in the past no.

However, it’s clear listening the full debate, as I’ve just done thanks to @RoyMac5 link, that all M.P’s put politics aside and have been bending the ear of the sports minister. In turn, he’s been forced to apply pressure on the EFL and administrators to come to a resolution.

Without that effort in part, we could’ve been another Bury. Only the size of our support, public opinion has focused all colours of the political spectrum into action. It’s a rare moment that you see politicians act in unison, but in truth they had little choice.

Too many have applied pressure, with Crouch herself adding to that pressure, for the sports minister to turn a blind eye to either us or future changes to the governance in the game. So in some ways it will help us.

    Cheers Wayne...best of luck.

    From the BBC

"My time at the club has been a rollercoaster of emotions, both highs and lows, but I have to say that I have enjoyed the challenge," Rooney added.

"I will remember my time at Derby with great pride and affection and would like to thank all my staff, players and of course the fans for their incredible support. I will never forget you and hope to see you all again in the near future and in happier times.

"Finally, I am aware that the club still have interested parties who wish to take over the running of the club. To them I say this, Derby County is a great club with a great history and great fans. I wish you all the best and much success for the future."

Forget the timing, he stayed classy until the end.

We should be feeling a bit happier tonight although clearly we want this all to end and get back to the boring stuff, like who are we signing when can we buy season tickets etc .

Couldn’t resist looking at this thread tonight and this is me.

I’d think most sane Derby fans, just want to come watch a game of football on a Saturday afternoon, win, lose or draw. All these people playing games of financial posturing, the press feeding on fans desire for information and rival fans gloating at our woes, I’m really not interested in any of them. They can all duck off and when this is over no true supporters, will ever forgive certain people in the EFL, for the spineless attitude and slow torture they inflicted on us at the behest of others.

Park all that though, just give us a ducking club to support.

Unless we bowl them out for 150 my hopes for victory have gone from high to very slim rather quickly ?‍♂️

Something about being all things Derby and Derbyshire, expect to do well, then realise you’re in for disappointment only a little while later.

(p.s swear blind it was Dave Fletcher saying something special could be happening here, just after the Yorkshire T20 win jinxed us).

Wish we’d have gotten him as cover for Martin all those years ago

First time looking at this thread, it’s going to be refreshing and great to discuss who we are finally getting in to replace Chis Martin, never mind CKR or Plange.

Roll on player discussion arguments, I’m keeping away from the Admin thread; too much doom and too many new posts every time I look in.

Shame Gregory looks committed to the Owls, I’d have snapped him up at L1 level.

I hijacked Dan Roan’s Twitter thread on Saudis and sports-washing this morning to say Kirchner is playing at the same tournament maybe you can ask him what’s happening with our takeover, he replied with that video, fair play he did it (although sure he had other requests), clearly he doesn’t give a crap about Twitter followers as I only have 3!! ?

As for CKs reaction, seeing what’s transpired I reckon he was told he’s having his exclusivity removed on the golf course
Like others have said I reckon he’s got the cash but it’s been subject to extra checks due to crypto or he’s changed his mind. Not sure he’s completely in control of the situation and he’s getting dogs abuse.

If that were true, he’d every reason to be a bit short with Dan Roan too, I mean in the middle of playing with sporting heroes, all that money spent and some nob messages you to ruin your day; worse still before you’ve even had chance to check, a journalist is in your face with a microphone and you’re thinking what the ducks going on here. Not like he could say, hang on Ian, can you play some of my shots whilst I phone me mate and find out what’s going on in Derby!

It is not helping me I feel very very very stressed out right now.

I know mate, I’ve seen your posts but you’re not alone. Nothing looks like coming out today, try and switch off by finding something nice to do and check media in the morning, it might be best than the stress you feel.

We’ll survive one way or another ?

There's posters on here saying MLC can takes weeks, That's weeks and yes May 17th was weeks ago, I'm not falling for "this deal is collapsing" until Q come out and say so.

Pretty sure CK has said money on it's way...but could be wrong, Nixon saying same thing...but he could be wrong, So until an official statement that says deal is off...all is on track.

Kind of with you on that, it begs the question why go this far, so many people involved, unless genuine intent is there.

There’s been a lot of mischief making, including feeding of snippets but never a full story by many vested interests all through this saga; half of it b.s by people seeking attention including many sports news outlets and then back tracking or shifting of narrative when it’s proved untrue, unreliable or not the full picture. You only have to look at todays will collapse to could collapse line as a recent example.

My worry is for fans like B4, do wish people would consider the effect it has on others. If it fails due to some financial irregularities, then Q and the EFL haven’t done enough homework, but until it's that obvious the hysteria is unhelpful to many fans.

What’s cracking off down in the big city then? I’ve just accepted a role as a graduate actuary down in London (think I mentioned I was applying a long while back), so am hoping to move down there in September, subject to various checks, as well as me actually graduating!

Im guessing there’s got to be a decent contingent down there. I’m planning on keeping my season ticket at the moment, which my wallet is already in tears about. But f*** it, Derby till I die and all that

Hey @Millenniumram, you must be around the same age as my eldest, he’s due down in the smoke from September too, as a graduate surveyor. Ardent Ram of course, not even got round to looking at digs as he’s too busy going from holiday to another,  post course parties and generally having a blowout this summer before serious employment.

Just a shout out, he’s not got round to any accommodation ideas, but if you’re interested in shared digs P.M me, be happy to put him in touch with a fellow Ram.

Told him about the capital Rams too, they were fairly active when I was down there years back.
