Really cretinous the way we allowed them back into the game and got the crowd behind them afte being booed off at half time.

This time can't blame the Ref, Gibson, the EFL or any bugger else.

No just a team that didn’t switch on, to a pretty rubbish opponent that just had a rocket up their ass! Car crash in every respect, we came out half asleep and they were full throttle. You could see it coming every step.

Bradley dack and Sam ghallaher. He’s gone for it

Mowbray master class ? fired them up, anyone could see it change, they got a goal, smelled fear and indecision and then they bullied us.

Whilst he’s gone off injured, if anything Kazim was needed when it was kicking off at 1-1. We just got rattled, the chances in the first half came back to haunt us, because Mowbray sorted them out to press faster and set about us. We were asleep and then dazed. End of.

As a fan of a club who's gone through something vaguely similar, all I can say is, I hope that we treat Chelsea fans with the same degree of care and compassion that other fans have treated us. Everybody...

?We're all gonna have a party when Chelsea die?

?We're all gonna have a party when Chelsea die?

?We're all gonna have a party when Chelsea die?

The same compassion Chelsea showed, when dicking us over, snatching Lampard just before our season started. Sure we got compensated but it did nothing for our next season.

Right now my only interest in Chelsea’s plight is whether the Williams money is in the bank? The “red top” media will be all over this, far more than little provincial Derby County struggling.

I really don't get the blaming of the ref tonight. Davies was weak in the defending, and Festy went down too easily. That is a 50/50 decision, you could argue it either way. Being victims doesn't help. That loss is on us.

If we had took just one chance, been more clinical, that last bit of defending wouldn’t have happened, it would have been a different game. Defending didn’t lose us this game, lack of spark and killer instinct up front did.

One more plan left for us...

Capt. Tom to win us every game from here, otherwise, we're done for!  ?

The only plus from tonight, on that performance, if he stays fit, we massively should beat them at home. They’re garbage, we’re just lacking a killer instinct.

  6. T.L is a 25 year old man, won’t be the first and last 25 year old man to act rashly, do something stupid, that has consequences way beyond his thought process at the time.

I’d not wish to defend Lawrence for his actions but that so many are stating he has cost us dear by his red mist madness, shows how valuable he was, to get us anywhere remotely near safety; for that reason alone I’ll cut him some slack. W.R said he wants him back refreshed and at his best, this break could recharge his batteries and be the difference the last few games.

  7. Several things that seem to be affecting my general upbeat mood, have sent me on an Internet mission tonight, so I’m now again feeling a bit more content having booked a trip to Kefalonia in August. Last time I went there with the missus, my eldest appeared 9 months later; this time he’s coming along to get drunk with me and stop any romantic notions I might have, under the influence.

The club ought to blast this out at the final whistle if we’ve won.

Nah we make enough noise on our own, had a West Ham and Scunthorpe fan commenting to me about our Allez, Allez, Allez chant at full time Saturday, plenty of neutral football fans are right impressed with our support as it is.

Leave the Great Escape tune for if it happens last match of the season.

My equivocation over Reading is based on their squad which has some big hitters. Catching them is the primary goal right now but I’d like others to be reachable in case they start living up to their ability level … maybe I’m not focussed enough on today but I always like a plan B. Who knows ?

Plan b is a Brum equaliser but I’m open to other suggestions right now ??

I'm hoping for a Birmingham win, nothing less.

The only realistic team, at the present time, to catch is Reading. If we concentrate on finishing one place above them, then we'll remain in the Championship. All other teams are just a periphery concern.

Hoping for a Reading loss too, I’m not confident but they are the ones to chase down, anyone else is a bonus and massive win ask given our away form.

Like I said earlier he has had a superb season, brain fade today, but hopefully he comes back and leads the charge to keep us up.

That’s where I’m at with Lawrence, everyone in the ground saw the red mist, Rooney is so right in his approach, I just remember the stunning goals he’s scored that have put us in the place to be challengingly to stay up.

Yes he lost it, but let’s not pile on, he’s earned us so many points this season, we have no idea if it makes us weaker next few games, it could give someone else a chance and as Rooney said Tom a breather. So glad I don’t have Twitter, anyone piling in should think on, 4 games time, we might be needing him to inspire us again.

  12. Looking at this result, both sets of fans and clubs will be trying to convince themselves along the lines of some earlier posts, that it’s still a long way to go and plenty of points to play for.

Whilst absolutely true, tonight was real poo house football (granted not helped by conditions), when you’re out of form, you need luck; neither looked likely and I bet they’re really wondering where the next win is coming from.

We’ve got to be making them nervous. I’d wager Peterborough will crumble if they can’t get a result against us. We beat them and 1 point against your main rivals is morale sapping.

Increasingly I believe it’s how long Reading continue to misfire, as on paper they should be better but they can’t buy a win right now. Step up the pressure on Saturday and the great escape inches nearer. ?

I seem to remember a few years back, their was talk of inviting a 6th placed team in the tournament based on European ranking and Georgia were favourites to take over from Italy.  Nothing ever came off it though to my knowledge.

Probably because they would be Italy mk2. Whipping boys for many a year, then you would find the Italians complaining of being hard done by. They won’t get rid of Italy, they not only want the 5 extra games during six nations, there are the top 2 sides in European competitions making up numbers. They are really desperate for Italian rugby to make a meaningful contribution to the game, purely out of necessity and greed; the curse of modern day professional sport.

To be honest, it really grates on me how players do this, much as it helps us.  Ultimately you go out and play as a team for those paying a lot to watch and your own professionalism .  Look at Forest.  Total dog poo this year till Hughton left.  Look at us under Pearson.  We're not going to play because we don't want to .  To many players like this in football.

Unless you have a manager like erm, Wayne Rooney, that instils a never give up attitude. Really do think half of it is down to Managers too and the standards they set, respect they carry.
