But Warne has said he wants players who can play in front of 30k crowds! Against another U21 team so not really proper football, no real idea how they might compete. He's basically played an U21 team against another U21 team with a large U21 size crowd. After being told to 'rock on' by Clowes who thinks his Cat1 Academy is worth paying for. 😄
I love the things that scare most folks to death
But I ain't ever satisfied
I'll stay till the end or till I'm gasping my last breath
But I ain't ever satisfied
No, I am never satisfiedI can pretty much come and go as I like
But I ain't ever satisfied
Hey, with no bottom line it's hard to know wrong from right
But I ain't ever satisfied
I'll try anything once but then do it to death
But I ain't ever satisfied
I expect the worst but I hope for the best
Oh, I ain't ever satisfied
No, I ain't ever satisfied
No, no, no, no, I am never satisfiedCan't get enough, no, of nothing

“How Paul Warne Survives” is the title of the thread.
Paul Warne survives by keeping fit, enjoying food, drinking fluids and working and doing many other things in life that keeps him and others surviving.
Nice bobble hat Paul Warne.
Keep smiling.
I’m sure many posters on dcfcfans would love to buy one.
Go on treat yourself, you know you want too!

My own opinion of Warne’s man management isn’t just plucked out of the air. I started posting in late ‘22 that the way he speaks about his players in interviews was a recipe for an unhappy dressing room. There was a specific comment about McGoldrick - relating to an injury (I’m guessing, but maybe around Nov 22) where Warne tried to be funny whilst taking a dig at Didzy. It was careless., misjudged and disrespectful. Warne has so far as I can see stopped doing this now - last time I can remember him at it was when he was speaking about Bird’s transfer. It’s the sort of thing he could perhaps get away with at Rotherham but many ‘bigger’ players won’t put up with it. Even before Didzy left, I would have assumed his and Warne’s relationship was frosty.
Then Didzy left, having had his best season ever and with the weekly adulation of 26,000 people ringing in his ears. The timing of that move didn’t stack up for me (for football or financial reasons) tho I accept there’s plenty to debate in that. I think that if he’d enjoyed playing for Warne he would have stayed.
I don’t mind people questioning the opinion in that last sentence but it’s not plucked out of thin air.

Why do “supporters” of Derby County make detrimental stuff up? why do they swear on National TV having a go at the current head coach? why do they swear at their current players?
What do they think this achieves? does it make them feel any better as a person? does it help their fellow supporters out? does it help the head coach, does it help the players, does it help promote or demote the reputation of Derby County Supporters around the world of football, and does it help Derby County Football Club?
When we rallied together to save our club, was this the objective a few months later, to try to drag it back into the mud? or would we all be better off helping each other build Derby County back up to its full strength by supporting the club?
Anyway I’m off back to work to look for mole holes then dig another grave in the pouring rain in the deep mud before attending another strangers funeral where I nod my head down in respect to a mourning family, only hoping the person passing, has had a happy life and respected everything and everyone, whilst being alive, especially those that they love.

I might be over-thinking this but I reckon we’ll go on a decent run after the international break. Maybe not unbeaten but a decent points per game.
This is going to sound bizarre but we’ll be entering the hectic part of the season where we’ll have a lot of games. With cup games there’ll be quite a few midweek games, so a lot of Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. PW has been quite vocal about his dislike for a busy schedule. But I think we’ll do better in this period, just look at last season. Ironically we’ll benefit from less time on the training ground, less time to over-think and more just getting on with it and dealing with the games. When we’ve had more time on the training ground in an international break, we’ve put in a poor performance.
I think he’s a good man manager and good at building a strong team ethic and relationships. I just think he’s a bit one dimensional when it comes to football and tactics. If he had better tacticians around him, I think he’d do a lot better.
Sometimes one dimensional is more than enough to get out of the lower leagues, look how Wimbledon used to be and they won the FA Cup also doing it. We might be able to do it in the EFL Cup but a lot of the fans will be happy if we all achieve the results we are trying to achieve.
A minority of fans will never be happy, with whatever style Derby play.
I still shake my head when I had to tell young fans during the Q.P.R v Derby Play Off Final to get a grip of themselves when they spent most of the game verbally attacking their own players, mostly Jamie Ward calling him all sorts, with a load of filthy uncouth words.
I get having a go at the opposing team with banter, trying to effect their game, but some fans will just never work out what “supporter” means, unfortunately.

Having reflected on it, today was more irritating than disaster, i wouldn't have been happy if we'd lost 2 nil - it's the lack of creativity in forward areas that just does your head in. They tried. The did what they'd been told to do. But really, just cross-clearance-cross-clearance-defensive f*** up-cross clearance.
“Here comes @RadioactiveWaste in a brand new car………”
If it does your head in, don’t watch it, you could have watched Rangers v Hearts instead, and reflect on Rangers and Celtic being the top two sides in Scotland because they have millions more pounds to spend than the others and end up winning most things except when the odd other team win the occasional cup. You might even miss the excitement of watching Derby County play, knowing that you never know what you are going to get.
Derby County don’t have millions to spend, we nearly disappeared off the face of the earth, and several months later, some of our fans think or expect that we should be winning the league, be at least in the top 6 in November and automatically beating a side on form from a different league in an FA Cup game, even though we’ve watched many other managers, head coaches at Derby County get knocked out of cups by lesser teams and not come back in games when 2-0 down.
The Undertones currently at the club are undertones but what else can you do if the girls don’t like it?
Don’t watch it, don’t switch your TV’s on to watch it, don’t go to the games home and away, watch something else that makes you happier, watch another team that can spend millions of pounds on players that still might lose now and again, still might lose or draw in the cup now and again, it really is simple folks, if you don’t like it, I’m sure you could find something else to do?

So no improvement apart from scoring 25% more goals. Also, your post contains no videos of 1980's bands that no one has heard of and not a flag in sight!
Poor effort Inverurie.....
😁🍻🐏
How’s about Derby’s very own Marseille that come from this very decade available for you all to see live and to enjoy their wonderful music available on line before they become massive selling out Pride Park and the like. Go see them on their current Balls tour, if you have any balls @uttoxram75 🤣🐏
They played live at Aberdeen Tunnels on Saturday night and were wonderful with their brilliant flag behind them!
Enjoy……and @uttoxram75 get with the ball game son!
ps I’ll throw in a couple of local support bands you’ve not heard of !!!

We were good in that game for a 20 minute spell where we scored 4 goals. Before that they battered us till about 25 minutes in and then second half. That game could have ended 4 all
I watched the game, and other than having a few attacks, I wouldn’t perceive it, as they “battered” us.
Maybe I just don’t buy into the modern world of exageration when people use words such as shocking, horrendous, amazing, worse game of my life, nightmare etc etc.
It was a game of football and we dominated position, then they dominated position, they didn’t “batter” us.

I would like to add in a positive way, it always cracks me up when some fan says “it’s the worse game I’ve ever seen them play” etc……🤣
Really?…how many games have they seen?…1 game perhaps?
I thought we played alright at Stevenage and if the players had been on the same page as PW about not conceding cheap free kicks, as he stated that they were strong at set pieces in his pre match interview etc, he made substitutes to try and compensate from players mistakes, and we would have taken a good away point, against a team that are currently doing well in the league, if we hadn’t given them 2 cheap goals away, which I would have taken as a positive result.
And I know the negative posters are going to state that we shouldn’t be giving away them cheap goals, but they are the fine margins between positive and negative results that PW, staff and players are trying to eradicate.
Some folk are not prepared to be patient in a quick, I want, I need instant success now world we live in, we can’t all play like Man City at a cheap price, which in reality isn’t going to happen. Drip fed on too much Sky Sports and over indulging in drink and the like before games. I stood next to a young bloke absolutely bladdered at Carlisle, kept falling and stumbling down the steps to the exit and watched none of the game, even when he tried, he wouldn’t remember any of it, after the game.
We’ve all seen how long Ipswich, Wolves, Leeds, Sunderland, Portsmouth and many others etc have struggled in the lower leagues and it does take time to rebuild before gaining promotion, especially without the “big” money to spend or waste on football players.

I'm really sorry to have to tell you this but @Jourdan has seen the light. He knows enough awful football is enough.
Thanks for letting me know.
……some might say we will find a brighter day. It’s stopped raining in Inverurie, blue skies & the sun is coming out!
…..and don’t be sorry, try positivity it makes you feel a lot better!
ps….you are in the wrong thread! 🤣
@RoyMac5 get out of here!!!!

This is a Pro Warne thread, and I’m in.
If you don’t like him or his football or whatever he wears then get out of this thread and choose one of the many negative threads about him to discuss your views or carry on regardless.
So I can hang out with @Jourdan who used to be such a negative poster in the past but is a ray of sunshine these days and he wears it very well and realises a season of football is like the Grand National and our beloved team are still positioned well in the league to have a successful season and I’m right behind all the staff and players at Derby County.
Up The Rams.
ps look at Birmingham City fans already attacking Rooney, football funny old game!…..

@David thank you. It’s your forum and you can control it the way you want too. Keep up the great work.
We are all different people on it and we all function differently in this world, and we have a great mix of people with different backgrounds and different stories on this forum, and it’s easier for me to post certain things in it in here, and this Aberdeenshire Rams thread generally paints a picture of me and the guys up here, that follow the Aberdeenshire Rams with a mix of football, fashion, passion and music that we all love, and it includes players that have played for Derby, Aberdeen and Inverurie as it’s relatable and could also go into the exrams thread etc
I keep it all together in one thread, hoping to attract new recruits that might move or are currently living in the Aberdeenshire area, and also to create a history for myself, my boys and any other fans that might enjoy reading them.
And I know the odd Rangers / Derby flag and the odd other flag goes in the Derby County Flags thread and you being a Celtic fan must really cheer you up. If I ever spotted a Celtic / Derby flag I would post that also, like I post the Irish Rams and Scottish Rams flags etc
I do understand you and the forum and other posters that have different opinions and ideas regarding anything to do with Derby County, even bobble hats!
We are all Derby fans and I’m really not that bothered where the Aberdeenshire Rams thread is, I’m more bothered about positivity, kindness and hoping Derby County are successful and making us all happy and Derby County generally do that for me.
Have a wonderful Monday and here’s hoping for a positive result Tuesday.

Thank you 🍺

Thanks @CWC1983 I appreciate your kind words. Not many of them about these days on here or in real life.
Especially when so many have the choice. You don’t seem to post very often either, and it’s pretty sad a lot of good people (Rams not Sheep) have chosen to leave this forum.
It won’t be long before I’m accused of having red hair and supporting the team I love, and called various names for doing so, by angry strangers that choose to type that I’m the one typing “nonsense” or the like, on here. But I’m bald as a coot (Paul Coutts pun!)
Maybe it’s the fast “McDonalds” throw away society, that are very quick to criticise, but too lazy to put their own rubbish in the bin, when their table is only several yards away from the bin, that we are surrounded by, yeah the chicken nuggets, the zombie nation.
Anyway the sky is blue this morning, I’m wearing my new blue 1975 Derby County away shirt, and I’m wearing it with pride, I don’t just wear any of my DCFC shirts just when we are winning or on our way to Wembley, I wear in any kind of weather, and over land and sea always loving DCFC. 🐏
Right time for a nice early morning stroll down to the river you saw on the BBC News. You can be active with the activists or stay sleeping with the sleepers. If I don’t post ever again on here, it won’t be because I’ve been swept away by others, it won’t be because I’ve followed other sheep into the river, it will be because I’m a Ram 🐏 and I won’t let the river or the bleeping of a few sheep 🐑 drown me.
