  1. Agree with @therams69 @The Last Post @angieram @Animal is a Ram etc.

So the drums downfall started with Sky Sports dictating once again where Adam should not stand, so SS not only ruins when the football fixtures are, ruining best laid plans of football fans, it’s overall greed and over coverage of the rich teams wasting millions of pounds on box standard football players and having millions of duped customers watch Man Utd corrupt and cheat it’s way to another 3 points on a Monday night against a Wolves side who’s manager is yellow carded for having the audacity to question it all, it also dictates to the mind set of so many fans that would choose to complain about there own fans, (unless other clubs fans are complaining to our SLO by e-mail (probably not) ) than actually make more of an effort to get behind their club in a vocal noisy positive way, or as @therams69 has already pointed out, why would you waste your money, time and effort to go and sit or stand anywhere near Adam with a drum if you don’t bl00dy like the noise of a drum, for crying out loud there’s only about 33,000 other seats in the ground you could possibly pick instead to sit or stand in, pick your nose in, stick your fingers in your ears etc etc, especially if you have turned up to a Derby County match and you expect the atmosphere to be a little bit sombre, with the occasional hint of jollyness, but not to much in case you get far to carried away with yourselves and forget to leave several times during the game for snacks and to leave the match with 15 minutes to go, to beat the traffic……with your own hidden drum that you left outside the ground hidden in the nearest bush, but no you choose to e-Mail our SLO and complain about one of your fellow supporters instead!…..

    Ya numpties!

    Signed for Inverurie Locco's.

@Inverurie Ram  you might see him down the commercial.

I’ve seen him a few times over the last couple of years in Inverurie, recognised him at school sports day.

    Just bad phrasing.

Anyway, Waggy was telling supporters outside the ground after the game that he's already signed so there's no doubt.

Thanks @angieram. Disappointing that I read that as, another signing in the building aswell as Waghorn, because it would certainly help.

Being the additional player, as a fast paced tricky striker or a real grafting aggressive midfielder that would really add to this squad.

I think we had at least 5 good chances yesterday to either draw or win the game, especially with Collins first chance, where composure of just taking a touch and moving a few paces with the ball before placing it in, the Bradley header, the 2 Fozzy chances, and when Wilson dribbled in to the box and then didn’t pass to available players in space opting to cross and hope for the best, unfortunately picking out nobody.

The lack of quality in important moments, being the difference unfortunately once again, plus obviously us gifting them 2 goals.

I do think a lot of opposing teams especially the better ones, like last season in Plymouth, Sheff Wed etc know when playing us, just to stay in the game, make it tight and wait for Derby to make the mistakes and punish them, as we continue to do so.

Hopefully we sort it out, quickly, and new players don’t repeat last year’s process’s, routines as it just becomes very frustrating for fans to watch and for the coaching staff to take.

He’s just announced our new song/chant: A little Respect. I’m sure someone can come up with some words. 😀

I’m off to Wembley on Sat 12th August and will be singing A Little Respect with 40,000 Hull Kingston Rovers fans in the Challenge Cup Final………

I’ve mentioned it for a few years on here and I think Inverurie Ram has finally landed a song at Pride Park….

    I need a lie down……….

Especially for @2tups. Hull Kingston Rovers fans can do it.

I’ve mentioned this song a few times over the years and in 2023/24 it looks like Derby County may have eventually stopped nicking songs off Sheffield Wednesday and with Inverurie Ram’s massive Hull Kingston Rovers influence………and Inverurie Ram has finally landed a song for Pride Park & Derby County.

Up The Rams & The Robins!

  6. Regarding Derby County 1-3 Sheff Utd. I thought we played well when we moved the ball around in triangle shapes and at times looked bright and positive.

Hourihane has the quality but frustrates a lot when not even looking forward on many occasions to put us on the front foot and create, instead choosing to pass it back where it has come from. I understand keeping possession and keeping the ball moving, but a lot of the time we opt to let the opposition get back into shape, when we could opt for quick attacking through balls, or balls out wide or onto other midfield players to counter attack. Maybe the lack of pace we have in our attackers forces players to turn around so much, and signing Waghorn would only reinforce this. Not sure how quick Washington is but his movement in the box was good when he should of scored.

Nelson and Bradley continued to look good for us, and hopefully Wilson will get more game time, to get up to speed, he currently looks unfit and bulky up top and was slow to do anything with the goals. Ward again put a cross or two into the box and looks to do the right things. Hopefully Elder gets fit soon, so we get to see him and maybe he gets back in defence, where Cashin switched off for the first goal, and we might have not been caught out for the third, when Smith stopped and played for offside.

So taking the first and third Sheff Utd goals out of the game, a 1-1 result could have been achieved against a Premiership side, which shows to me at this stage, we are looking alright, and a midfielder/striker with pace and aggression in both positions with PW stating 2/3 more players are required, and I would think that makes our team very strong and very capable of gaining promotion this season.

We looked alright with the EFL ball, conceding one soft goal but we looked better with the Premiership ball, conceding 2 goals.

    So onwards and upwards.

  7. Derby County 3-0 Stoke City
    (GS Nelson, Collins, Mendez-Laing)
    Pride Park
    Pre Season Friendly
    Craig Forsyth Testimonial
    Attendance:- 9,119

    (1,349 Stoke City supporters)

After escaping some other bloke dressed in green in Sherwood Forest on Friday the Aberdeenshire Rams rolled up to Pride Park at about 4pm.
I parked behind the east stand, just up from facing Sports Direct and the other shops.

Just as I approached the parking space, I spot Craig Forsyth a couple of parking spaces down with his kids and another guy, which might have been Craig Bryson just leaving their car and heading into the shops, I’m about to jump out for a photo, before the family tell me to leave them alone, so I did.

We enjoy a lovely Friday night drive to Matlock Bath for Fish & Chips.

Saturday morning and it’s chucking down, I walk into town and pop into Mr Shaw’s House on Saddler Gate and buy a Marseille T-Shirt. I then meet the family and friends in The Clubhouse on Friar Gate. Enjoy watching the Women’s World Cup and a few beers before heading for Pride Park.

Enjoyed a great game of football before heading back to the Silk Mill for a few more beers and sausage roll and chips.

We left Derby at 10am on the Sunday and drove the 431 miles back to Inverurie with a couple of service station stops and I was hoping to listen to the Hull Kingston Rovers v Wigan Challenge Cup Semi Final game on the radio at 5pm but couldn’t get it, so I decided not to know the score, and watch the full game on the bbciplayer when we arrived back home at 8pm. A brilliant game with HKR winning in extra time with a winning golden point drop kick, winning 11-10 and I’m off to Wembley again. Up The Robins!
