Shame how the clubs X account had more comments about Pearce than the new sponsor, quite sad really.

And since you posted such on here @REDCAR unfortunately the majority of comments are also quite sadly doing exactly the same. It’s the sheep mentality. All knackered slagging David Clowes off already, after slagging Paul Warne off to absolute bits, then someone mentions a new sponsor and instead of discussing the new sponsor and it’s potential benefits, well that must have something to do with that Pearce bloke, so time for them all to slag him off to bits. It’s all predictably sad and destructible.

For what it’s worth, sounds like a good deal, the more good deals the club gets, the more the good, good people benefit from such.

I was told by someone who’s got stuff right before that McGoldrick wanted out of Derby, long before Notts County were promoted. The reason why he was so desperate to leave is a mystery, but it’s not out the realms of possibility that the manager who accused him of faking injury might well have been a factor.

Paul Warne has had over a year now to get to grips with the team. Time is no excuse. Not many managers get that amount of time (as evidenced by the fact he’s already the 8th longest serving manager in the league).

Oxford did spend well, so why couldn’t we? And don’t give me the EFL restrictions, we still had plenty to spend on wages, and recruited poorly.

Oxford made more changes over the summer than we did, and are currently performing much better. The excuses made for Warne wear me down, they really do. It’s crap, he should be doing much better than he is. we have more than enough quality in this squad to compete.

So @Millenniumram keeps on telling us it’s the Chairman’s fault, the coach’s fault, both at fault for not being the Man City of this league straight after administration, both at fault or mostly his favourite coach’s fault for not keeping a player that wanted to move to his childhood supporting club to finish off his career to play his career out for the love of the game and when it’s not the chairman’s fault or the coach’s fault, it’s the quality players fault or mostly the coaches fault for these quality players not performing to @Millenniumram standards of performance in his perception of this crap league we are currently in, or the fault of the so called players lacking quality that the coach has brought in, sanctioned by the chairman and the necessary employees of the club, and it’s really only a matter of time before it becomes @Mucker1884 fault and anybody else that perhaps wants a glass half full when our current league position is not an empty glass or broken glass and I was told by someone who’s got stuff right before that being promoted out of this division is our aim and our current coach has a great track record of delivering that and all the people that you constantly want to pick faults in or blame, basically everyone at Derby County Football Club that all have wonderful qualities that are currently competing and are doing better than some of us think…….but it’s a mystery.

Why walk on broken glass when the glass is not broken?

  4. @Mucker1884 thanks for your wonderful reply.

If we did did get to Wembley in any competition this season, I’m bound to be sat behind someone wearing a blooming sombrero wittering loudly all day long about the name of the competition drowning out the wonderful atmosphere!

I think you mean the EFL Trophy mate (Formerly Papa Johns, now Honest John's Car Emporium, or summat similar).
We're long gone from the EFL Cup (Carabao) after losing at home to Blackpool back in August.

    🐏

Yeah you knew what I meant, I didn’t want to call it Papa Johns because somebody would be pedantic and correct me.

So these days we now have an EFL Trophy and an EFL Cup that I would have called the Carabao Cup but somebody would be pedantic and correct me.

I enjoyed football when it was
Division 1 Division 2 Division 3 Division 4. FA Cup & League Cup it was all so easy to understand and everyone understood it for decades.

So whatever cup, trophy we are still involved in, and whatever company or football association wants to rename it, rebrand it, call it some name that nobody really cares about whilst robbing more football fans of their well earned cash and all the rest, well we have a better chance of doing better in it, than we can in this seasons FA Cup because we are still in it and let’s face it @Mucker1884 will not be attending the final, because he’ll be far too busy at home wearing his sombrero that he won a cup for and typing away about losing his last sombrero that he won a trophy for whilst riding some donkey in Blackpool.

Who cares? we are still in it, whatever it is…………………
