Looks like I was right, as reports are now suggesting that Tesla are binning their mass-market affordable Model 2 plans

Seems that their tanking share price is focusing their minds on cracking self-driving, rather than mass market production of a standard drive EV - as long term, it's self-driving that will win the market (and up the share price)

Recalled another 2 million cars in February. Affected 2.19 million Tesla vehicles, including the Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and the 2024 Cybertruck. More software issues, apparently, but font related this time. Yes, really!

All 4,000 Cybertrucks sold to date have, this week, also been subject to a separate 'total recall' (sorry, been dying too use that), due to accelerator pedals snagging on interior components. It's odd, as one might sensibly assume that something this obvious (and homicidal) would have been uncovered in testing.

  2. Brilliant defensive shift, with Louie and Nate adding the touch of class we needed to snatch the points from a Cambridge team who came to fight. All fans will doubtless be very pleased with the win, though I doubt many will say we played close to our best. Tough fixture and circumstances in which to do that though and I suspect the coaching team will be absolutely delighted with another clean sheet, as am I tbh!

  3. Really enjoying Shogun. One tiny gripe being that you can quickly tell the great outdoors depicted is not actually Japan. It transpires it was filmed in Canada, but that nitpick aside, it's a very good show and Cosmo Jarvis carries the lead role very well. Only a couple of episodes in and already plenty of intrigue and on the whole, it's also beautifully filmed. I hadn't realised it was adapted from a book and I confess that I've not read anything by James Clavell, so I've no idea if the screenplay is faithful to his novel, but it works well as a stand-alone project IMO.

Yeah, I think the Warren v Hearn thing is for the loud minority who argue like they're football teams and you have to be loyal to one promoter. Very weird.

Can't stand either of them really, Hearne less than Warren, I suppose, but it's like choosing between a finger in the eye and a peculiarly effective nut-flick, you'd rather neither given the chance.

It's got potential to be an all time great fight hasn't it. I'm not sure it will capture the general public. I hope so.

Have you seen Frank holding hands with his excellency? Old Brick Top. Turki's prison pocket! What money does, eh?

Wilder is team matchroom for this Queensbury v Matchroom. Up against Zhang. Good fight that but probably more to lose than gain.

    Hrgovic v Dubois.

And Nick Ball is back fresh from being robbed. What a surprise, it's not in a rematch. Rey Vargas doesn't want that again after all

Have to say the Queensbury vs Matchroom malarkey doesn't really fire my imagination. Hard lines for Nick Ball. What a fookin terrible call that was against Vargas. Really felt for Ball who well and truly worked him over IMO.

He stayed so long last night, that he ended up drawing the raffle! Got a resounding chorus of "Sign him up, sign him up" when he finally left.

He was so positive about being at Derby, but we know it's not as simple as that. Cardiff will have the say because I don't think we'll pay silly money for him.

But if he's got two offers on the table from championship clubs, I think he'd choose us unless it's one of the parachute clubs and the money is too good to turn down.

On reflection, a loan with a buy option would have been some very cute dealing, but it's easy after the event, isn't it? I think he's enjoyed his time with us too and I'm quite optimistic. He's only a year left on his contract, was sent to us as surplus stock and the fans bloomin love him. It's not like Derby are tinpot either, he'll have noticed the crowds!

I'm more than hopeful as players tend to get what they want in these scenarios and in Ebou's case, I believe he wants to play for Derby.

This really isn't the League 1 of old, whatever that means. There's been very little kicking and out-muscling and much playing of football to a greater or lesser extent. Don't we hold the stats for 'airball' Warneball? 😄

It isn't a stunning achievement, but it is literally an achievement. As has been said elsewhere we weren't relegated on footballing inability but on administrative inability.

We came out of admin with 6 rostered senior pros and just missed out off the back a non-existent pre-season, with a cobbled together team. That team is now challenging for the autos in our second season since facing liquidation, all achieved while under soft-embargo and an enforced business plan too.

You can sneer all you like, but some folk are actually proud of how this club has turned things around, a notion you clearly find hilarious.

Just heard on the 'Not The Top 20' podcast....we have the best ratio of goals from set-pieces to successfully defending them across the whole EFL. Someone in the coaching staff clearly knows their onions.

Good shout Steady! Our defence has been excellent all season, the odd brainfart notwithstanding, but the goals have been critical to keeping our noses ahead of the chasers, in recent weeks especially. I'm actually pretty chuffed with that, to top the stats for the entire EFL is seriously impressive.

Is it Matt Hamshaw (first team coach) who is due a collective doff of our caps? I think it is as IIRC, Warne joked about Hamshaw getting his stuff right in the post-match presser.  It seems to me that when he's poking fun at someone, that usually means he's very happy with them. Whoever it is will probably be getting a raise in any case!

EDIT: Thanks for confirming  @NottsRam - hadn't seen you post when writing this!

  9. This Town - Bit of a slow-burner and not what I was expecting at all, but sometimes not knowing something makes for nice surprises and this series ended so strongly there surely has to be more to come.

I won't say too much in case folk are still watching it, just that it's definitely worth sticking with if, like me, you should encounter an early wobble. A mainly young cast, visibly grows into the series and I'm already intrigued to see where they'll take it next. Blinding soundtrack too!
