I always understood the reason why interest rates are increased, was to stop unneeded spending and encourage people to save their spare cash.

The problem with this is, while the rise may stop people using credit cards and spending their money frivolously. Unfortunately people are now using all their money and in many cases money they haven't got,  just to keep a roof over their head and feed their family. Meaning they have no spare cash to save. If people do have some spare cash what incentive have they got to save? While the banks are quick to pass on the interest rate rises to mortgage borrowers, they seem to be slower in increasing the rates being paid to people with savings accounts.

I'm definitely no economics expert, hell I struggle to work out the differences between the various types of interest rates. But I think just raising interest rates isn't going to work on bringing down inflation like it as done previously. There probably needs to be an entire new way for how our economy is run and regulated. What that would look like, I have not idea, I'll leave that to the appropriate experts.

It may require some radical economic agreements with numerous countries,  hopefully starting with the control and taxation of the multinational companies that seem to ride roughshod over individual country's tax laws.

Not an actual physical injury, but I felt great pain, when I went to get a glass for my beer and found this. 

No idea how it got broken, now sadly on its way to the bin.

Didums so  some people can't sit in their own seat.

I normally sit in the East Stand, for the big FA cup games I'm forced to sit elsewhere, due to my seat being given over to the away fans.

As for the other FA and League cup games, where only a couple of stands are open and there's no reserved seats for season ticket holders. If I don't buy my ticket as soon as they go on sale, I often end up moving to a different seat in the East Stand.

So stop being such big kids, just get down to Pride Park, park your bum in any available seat and support the Rams.

The straight forward answer is.  Trust Warne.

While the loss of McGoldrick may leave a big hole to fill.  Warne will have identified the players he believes will score the goals that will be needed to get us promoted. He'll know how he wants the team to perform and the type of players he needs to achieve it.

 Derby County black and white army. It was black and white, when I started supporting the Rams. We may have enjoyed some great times during the blue and white era.

It could be old age and senility  but I can't remember singing blue and white army, unlike the many times I've sung Derby County black and white army.

We may have played in blue and white for a short period of our history but to me Derby County was, is, always will be Black and White.

Long story short. I now have brown sauce with pizza as standard. 

Brown sauce, BBQ sauce, I see no reason why you can't put any type of sauce on a pizza. All said and done, a pizza is only a glorified open sandwich.

As for the brown sauce poll. Even though I think it's less spicy than it use to be,  that will be a vote for HP.

Yes, I did say I was planning to make a day of it.

I'm going to the Chesterfield game. Due to how the tickets for the league away games are allocated, it will probably be the only away game I get to see this season.

It's been a few years since my last visit to Chesterfield, so decided to make a day of it. Catching the mid-morning train, arriving in plenty of time for lunch. So any suggestions on where to go for a good pub lunch.

Hasn't Warne stated in his recent interview, that  he believes the psychological of a player is as important as their physicality. 

While the Barcelona coaches can put a case why they believe their training regime is superior to other methods. I'm sure there's manages and coaches from the Premiership down to League Two who can give just a good a reasons, why they believe they training methods are the most suitable for their team. 

One of the things Warne talked about was not just the importance of the physical but also the players psychological fitness. The ability and willingness to keep playing right up to the final whistle, that they can achieve their ultimate goal.

I think that we the fans play a significant role with the psychological aspect. I believe the fight against the adversities the club as faced recently, brought out a more positive atmosphere amongst the fans, a willingness,a belief we can beat any difficulty and this positivity spread to the players.

Worryingly after listening to the expectation of some fans for the coming season. I fear that if these expectations are not met, we will see the criticism of the team start to increase, and this negativity  will easily spread to the players and impact on their performances.

So while the the club may have been saved, it is still recovering from this near fatality. We need to carry on giving the same level of support this season, that the team as had over these past years.

This might be a different Luke Thomas to the one we had on our books. 

It would help stop any confusion and help identify the player, if their current club is put alongside their name.

So we're not getting frazzled by the sun, during Fozzy's testimonial. We choose to sit further back in the East Stand, than where our usual seat are situated. So hopefully shaded by the stand roof.

I'd like to see an early signing, to hopefully gauge the calibre of player Warne is wanting to sign.

We may have  a few more players than we had 12 months ago.  But however capable they are, there's a big difference between being able to name eleven players that can start a game, compared to having a balanced team of  eleven players capable of winning promotion. 

Players were being asked to play in unfamiliar positions, which left us unbalanced and venerable at times. Wasn't this a reason why we struggled against well organised teams last season?

So having a few more players than we had last year, doesn't necessarily put us in a better place than we were then. We'll still need a minimum of 6 or 7 new signings this season, not many less than arrived last year.

Are we starting this season in a similar position as we were last season. With a depleted squad in need of a influx of players?

While last season's hastily assembled squad performed better than I thought they would. As a team and individually they were given a lot of leeway and faced little criticism when putting in a poor performance. Will this seasons squad get the same latitude or will the greater expectation of promotion by many fan, lead to more moaning this coming season?

Hopefully the support and positivity that's been present since the David Clowes saved the club. Won't be lost if the season doesn't start with bang and us sat at the top of the table.

Didn't realise we had to pay Chelsea that much, to get them to take Lampard off our hands.
