Believe he also played in the Premier League for them, albeit only a few minutes 9-0 up against Bournemouth. A player they have genuine hopes for going forward anyway, which hopefully translates at this level. A loan doesn’t really add up He is really highly rated and Liverpool paid £1.5 million a couple of years ago for him. Not a chance they'd want to sell, and even if they did we couldn't afford him. A loan would be good for us and him, why doesn't it add up? He's a far more talented player than we have.
