Play macgoldic and knight togather upfront if not dobbin or ozzlair. That's only 10 in a 4-3-2 formation. The same back four would include Sibley at left back as that's where he's been playing recently. Knight is also definitely not a striker, would be wasted up top. But going back to your team, not entirely sure what Shinnie behind Bird and Sibley really offers. Why wouldn't you want Bird behind Knight and Sibley for example. Even Thompson would do everything Shinnie can. When we're limited by what transfer activity we can do, it would be a bizarre choice to bring in. Black ('n' White) Sheep
I just get the feeling 3 at the back is what PW will be looking at long-term... We're good in midfield IMO... Maybe need someone with something a bit different up front. So probably a quick RWB, quick LWB, relatively quick CB and a CF (in that priority order). Whether all that is doable under our current business plan remains to be seen though!

Nobody would expect Wildsmith right wing either, but doesn't mean it's a great idea. We've got Paul Warne, not Cilla Black screeching surprise surprise on the touchline. LazloW
Right back - top priority. Centre forward - would be nice to have options. Left back - maybe. Not convinced Sibley is really a long term option there and he obviously doesn't fancy Roberts - so he might look around for something. Spurs and Chelsea both pretty dour. we need a left back and right back though, striker too! Winger if being greedy. don’t see the point in cb or can cover personally. Steve How Hard?
To be fair to @B4ev6is nobody would ever have had Sibley as our left back before the season kicked off. That hasn't worked out too bad. RoyMac5

With Sibley covering both left back and left midfield. Call me stupid, but I'd prefer 11 players starting and playing in their best/specialist positions. I appreciate that we're Intergalactic Champions in your fantasy world, but we really need to play with 11 players at the very least.

No need , I am sure you are aware that he has difficulties. However he is an enthusiastic Rams fan and a valued member of this board and I think your snide comments go too far Dordogne-Ram, Grimbeard, Miggins and 15 others 9 8

Not a bad player but he’s not going to play centre back. If he can’t get in over sibley at left back then he’s probably not what we need. Could use the loan spot better. And he could go somewhere and get minutes.

He would also bring some goals, something the current midfield are not doing, particularly Bird who plays every game. IslandExile
