Gary Neville joins the hypocrites,,, bangs on all the time about morals , right and wrong , now takes the bien silver ,

whish these people would either keep they’re mouths shut or keep they’re wallets shut

And thus becomes the same as everyone else walking the planet.

Don't particularly have an opinion on him, but his interview on Guardian Football Weekly (which I think is where this story was first revealed) was interesting to get his take on things first hand. I don't really agree with the conclusion he came to but you can see his thought process. (Cynics get ready to say "$$$").

The bit I don’t get is are they so stupid and self obsessed that they don’t see it or do they think everybody else is so stupid that they can’t see them

A thinks it’s as simple as they are so far up their own arse they don’t see anything else.

He really is an obnoxious little twerp

All the same these former footballers, sitting on millions of pounds, that lecture all of us about not voting for the nasty, heartless Tories, whilst they cash their cheques from some of the most authoritarian foreign regimes – like Qatar. Shameless hypocrites

I agree it shouldn't need former footballers to point out Tories are nasty and heartless. It should be self evident.

One of the senior players in a Man Utd side that went to play in a money spinning cup competition in Asia and didn't play in the FA cup.  Man Utd should never have been allowed in it again.  He was part of the team that lit the torch paper for everything since.  I pay no attention to him.

He was a rich socialist who was as political as Neville. He said Murdoch and Maxwell were the biggest problems in Britain. He wrote for the Sun.

Awaiting the condemnation.

You’ll be waiting a while

I know. While I'm waiting I'll wonder if your lack of reply makes you an hypocrite

Didn’t say I wasn’t, I did however say G Nev was, do you disagree?
I’m really surprised actually by your whataboutery response, I thought you were one of the smarter ones.

Not really whataboutery. Just found a way to highlight we are all hypocrites. In his position I wouldn't have worked for them. Not going to condemn him though. We all make mistakes. I made one in 1998.

Wanting a fair society and being aspirational aren't mutually exclusive. I'm a Tripel Karmaleit Socialist and proud of it.
