Guest Posted April 24, 2023 Share Posted April 24, 2023 It’s been bad tonight. We haven’t looked like scoring all night. The lack of goals in the u21s should be a real concern. It’ll be a big learning curve for those u18s moving up to this level next year. Dribbling, tricks and flicks look great but this team desperately needs end product. Midfield has looked lightweight and have been bossed by Newcastle and Evans Cox and Robinson look young and learning tonight but strangely enough and in my opinion which doesn’t mean a lot have shown the most potential… It’s hard to defend if the ball is constantly coming back at you… Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You've got to feel for the lads, it must've been a soul-crushing season overall. Some of those players were in a side that finished top 6 in the country a couple of seasons ago. Just hoping Wassall and his team have been able to navigate this season with them being very open about the struggles they’ve faced and how these boys are feeling arguably the biggest hangover from the administration. If the lads have got good people round them they’ll hopefully understand this season was a hiding to nothing. They could be from anywere They could be prem clubs or champ clubs or even over seas players New recruitment man did say looking rebuild youth systems so maybe started early. Eliot Henks - 18 year old CM from Brighton. Been in and out of their U18 squad this season, but has 1 goal and 3 assists in 11 games.
