Well after we lost to you 5 nil I checked in, ahead of the L1 relegation game against Ipswich game I checked in, all the other Derby day defeats, and here I am again..

I will say I still realistically want SC to succeed here and stay on, but I don’t see any scenario where Marinakis doesn’t pull the trigger after this. Which is an absolute travesty as Pep G himself couldn’t put this lot together in such a short space of time.

I’d hedge a bet on our team from last season, or even your lower league shower beating this current Forest outfit.

Would’ve been good if someone, literally anyone, had warned you the approach to recruitment was poor.

The warning signs were there during the summer. Scattergun approach on mercenaries. It undermines all the decent work Cooper had done and is harsh on the actual players who got you promoted.

Your signings now have basically wrecked the feel-good factor of last year and the squad harmony you had is shot. Yeah some may not be PL standard, but imagine being a Forest player who got promoted only to be cast aside immediately for mercenaries like Jesse Lingard who only signed on a one-year deal worth millions.

I’m not getting carried away saying your will break low points records. But during our 11 point season, our team was shot when Jewel came in and replaced the likes of Howard and Oakley, our better players from the promotion season, with mercenaries.

I see a similar situation at Forest.

They had to though Bris. No team had ever got promoted to the PL as ill-prepared as we were, bar maybe Blackpool all those years ago.

They needed to make signings and lots of them. Some will be hits some will fail. I honestly think it’s too early to judge really as we’ve not had enough time to judge them yet.

I’d imagine someone like Sean Dyche will be waiting in the wings though 2BH. Ex Forest knows the club..

I feel sorry for Cooper.

He's quite obviously a good manager, but has been overtaken by events.

It would have been better for his career, and for Forest, to miss out on promotion last season and probably go up automatically this season, with a far smaller investment needed.

Instead, they've chucked the kitchen sink at it, squandering the PL riches for seasons to come, and will end up rebuilding in the Championship with a massive squad and hangover, and little cash to rectify it.

Then I see they bring on Yates as a second half saviour, and PMSL.

I don’t think anyone can say that all those players who have come in were wanted by Cooper, no manager in the world would want that much change.

My presumption has been from the start that they are giving Cooper enough time to make the decision for them and not get a backlash from fans/media, then they will bring their own man in who can take a fresh look at the squad. Whether it’ll work, or whether that’s right, who knows.

If he goes after this, which he almost certainly will, the next club who’s gets him will be very lucky.

Middlesborough? Not sure a PL outfit like Wolves would want him at the moment.

League One though.. ?‍♂️

I remember the days of losing at Carlisle, the playoff heartbreaks in the third tier..

The novelty wears off pretty quickly
