He borrowed money to pay the wages but didn’t actually pay the wages !

Am I reading that correctly? It’s his problem and only his problem.

 What a chancer!

Hang on. If SSS lent CK the money, then CK paid the wages. End of

But that doesn’t mean CK can get the money back from the club. That depends on what the deal was between Q and CK.

Who knows but there are some interesting possibilities:

- Stretford has given the club 1.6m ?

- CK has given the club 1.6m ?

Seems more likely the club  will repay the dosh, but is that the old club company (rip) or the new one ?

We need some incisive analysis I hope @iRam’s missus is around

Well the club might be advised they are obliged to return the dosh and DC might take a more rational approach to litigation than MM did

This Club has never had the dosh, that was the old Club.

I am sure such a matter in the public domain at the time will have been covered off in the due diligence on DC's purchase.

I'm told when Q and DC/Advisors did the due diligence, Q said to DC that there's an issue with the payment of £1.6m for wages.

DCs response was...Next!

yes, maybe that's the answer  But the new club might have picked up the liability to repay (if there was one) under the business transfer agreement

And they might not, else they would have done so by now, why wait.
