Jram
I think these tests would have been a lot closer if we could catch- a lot of the drops have been to Warner Labuchagne as well which compounds the issue Im expecting a turnaround from England. Might as well dream or why bother at all ziggyram59
RadioactiveWaste
Are we at the giving England 3 innings to make it more fun point yet? Because I suspect with a 3rd go at England might have got close. ziggyram59
Yani P
We are just poor...I mean the Aussies aren't great but a combo of no prep cricket, a mentally fragile batting lineup..and a very very poor captain this is the outcome that most would have predicted.. Have never understood the Root captaincy.. almost felt like he was the only batter who will definitely play...so give it to him. Zilch personality, zero aggression or leadership and shocking tactics. Unfortunately who else is there! SKRam
Yani P
Worrying even the coach says he would pick the same 2 teams again if he had the time back..thats another reason why we have been so poor

Anderson caught to end the match. Last day fight aside, that was a pasting. don't get me wrong, I love Jos Buttler. But it takes 5 dropped catches for him to dig in like that. For an Aussie, wearing the baggy green is all the motivation you need Edited December 21, 2021 by kevinhectoring SKRam

I'd have Foakes in there all day long, simply because he's the best Wicket Keeper. Feel like it's going to be a few years of upheaval after this series. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say we need at least one opener, a couple of middle order batsmen, an attacking spinner, and a replacement for 2 of our best ever seam bowlers. kevinhectoring and rynny 1

Stagtime
It’s looking like a cool and dry test match for Melbourne but take that with a grain of salt. If anyone has been there they’ll know the weather can change 6 times a day.

His short-pitched tactics in the last test weren’t well thought out. He’s too emotional to be captain. I think we need a newcomer as captain. Someone like Tom Abell at Somerset who has proved himself a worthy leader and very useful batsman. RadioactiveWaste and kevinhectoring 1
RadioactiveWaste
Captaincy? Kidnapping Kane Williamson and gaslighting him into believing he's English by any and all means possible. He'd probably be up for it, most Kiwis I've met hate the Aussies more than we do. SKRam
