If CK’s bid was too low to accept for the admin team, plus another bidder increasing their offer, what grounds did the admin team have to think they could have announced preferred bidder status by Christmas? It seems they haven’t accepted an offer yet that meets the demands so why announce make a deadline that couldn’t be met.
Fair play for them on clarifying reasons why CK wasn’t accepted though.

Dunno have they done this job before?

The Gadsby / Appleby tie up rumour was  from Nixon. He was saying that the two other bidders were going to join forces. That was BS.

Nothing that Percy said doesn’t tie up.

It doesn't tie up because we know full well that Appleby is one of the interested parties and he doesn't mention him!

Not long to wait now anyway!

Do we know that Appleby has made a bid? We know he is interested. But anyway why does not naming Appleby not make it tie up that Gadsby is the other party?

Do we know? No. Is it a reasonable assumption to make that someone who has said they are  'very much still interested' this late in the day is part of a bid? Yes. Otherwise they're pretty bloody hollow words.

If they haven't bid by now they haven't been given access to the full financials, it would be pretty stupid to only just enter the proceedings at this point.

I can't be arsed explaining my thinking to you any further tbh, if you don't see what's strange about it nothing I say is going to change that.

It's also a pointless discussion now anyway as we're imminently about to find out the preferred bidder.

CK increased his offer a couple of days ago. Another increased offer yesterday from mystery bidder.

so reasons for delay are they are still able to get a better deal for the creditors?
