Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby

We have to remember that the EFL's conduct in the DCFC disciplinary case has stoked media frenzies and emboldened gobby hypocrites like the Boro and Wycombe chiefs to dip their bread, to make a lot of spurious noise to allege misfortune caused by the 'guilty' party, their aim being to further damage a competitor.

* Dragging out the proceedings for over a year and a half, allowing a fellow club (Boro) to engage in actions against DCFC whilst the disciplinary case was in progress (thereby extending the torture for a year, though the actions were thrown out)

* Drip-feeding negative updates to the media without consultation with Derby (positing 'alternative' Derby/Wycombe fixture lists for a Championship <> League One swap if a 2020/21 points deduction was applied)

* Stating their 'regret' that their appeal resulted only in a £100,000 fine for DCFC's amortisation technicalities

* Not reprimanding the Wycombe cowboy for publicly accusing DCFC of systematic cheating

Now we're in administration, minus 12 points with the prospect of further penalties, most even-minded people would surmise that Derby had copped their just desserts and a reset had been enforced.

Boro's P&S figures will imo not be compliant with the EFL regulation, I suspect that threatening to sue, and the EFL are the only party he could sue is part of a cunning plan to get leverage in the negotiations about his P&S situation, he will of course blame Covid but it looks like that ship has sailed.

minus 9 points would do nicely

Or how about -15 would do nicely.

We need to protest against gibson and let world no what sour grapes man he is we are the ones who can stop him and force efl to act on him even if means that he gets bad press and so he should but also force boro to stop legal stuff.

No we don't. We need to ignore the man and concentrate our efforts on supporting the club.

He’s never recovered from us copying his stadium design. Can he really be serious about this ?? The EFL need to apply sanctions to Middlesbrough FC if he doesn’t desist immediately. Perhaps stopping them playing such boring football would be a starting point.

What is to stop us taking identical legal action against Aston Villa for breaching FFP and denying us a place in the Premier League ?

Exactly - Its all hot air and will come to nothing, how can Boro claim they would have gone up?  They would have just scraped 6th and lets face it, its a dog poo place to go..............

Not even the slightest bit concerned about Boro or Wycombe law suits, the authority in these matters is the EFL and I can't see them allowing these sorts of claims as it will turn the game into an even bigger farce than it already is.........

The ramblings of a deluded man, Gibson has done so much for his beloved Middlesbrough, but he's fooling himself if he thinks his side would have got promoted if they had finished 6th instead of us & faced Leeds & then Villa. Aston Villa were the stand out side in the play-offs, & checking the fixtures, walloped Boro 3-0 home & away, their heaviest defeats during the league season. The same Villa, bar a change of manager, who beat them the season before in the play-off SF.

They also covered themselves in glory the last time they were in the PL, surviving one season and finishing 19th with 5W.

Is it our fault Garry Monk spent £15m on Assombalonga who they let go on a free, as well as Ashley Fletcher (£6.5m)? How many sides can survive letting £20m of signings go for nothing?

What also happened to their fabled Academy which produced the likes of Stewart Downing?

In other words, Steve Gibson should concentrate on his own club, much in the same way I wish Mel Morris had concentrated on formulating a strategy to get us promoted via 46 games, which would have entailed stability & building a squad over a period of time instead of the rapid turnover of staff (players & managers) which happened.
