Not sure how knowing how many points you need to stay up will be an advantage, knowing you need to do something and actually being capable of doing it are two different things.

Am sure that the teams around Rotherham, us included, aren't deliberately losing matches to make the end of season a bit more interesting for them.

But if the gap is actually very small, it takes the pressure right off. If they’ve got 15 points to make up with 5 games left, it’s a mountain to climb. If they’ve got 2 points to make up, there’s a lot less pressure.

Yea, think they have more chance of bridging the 2 point gap than 15 ?

That's a couple of scenarios which we don't know will play out though.

Still stick to my original point that if a teams capable of not being in the relegation mix then they wouldn't be unless they deliberately are trying to make it harder for themselves to give them something to play for.

If they stay up with all their games compressed into one part of the season then fair play to them.

What they’re opponent s have left to play for might be a factor one way or another too though

Point was making was it's only an advantage if you allow another team to make it so.

I was always told to do everything you can do to influence things within your sphere and then other items will become non consequential and peripheral.

Honestly starting to think we will go down, can’t score haven’t got players that’ll change that either! Not sure where the points are going to come from

If Birmingham see sense and go and get themselves a half decent manager, we will be in big trouble.

This is what you get for hiring a management team with no experience. All well and good if you've got the sort of quality side that Lampard had, but this side are poo and we needed someone with the knowhow in this division. One roll of the dice too many for Mel Morris.

Four games in hand for Rotherham is going to have a big impact in the relegation picture. I can’t see them going through those without picking up a point, so we’ll have to hope the gap stays as big as possible once we’re all on a level playing field again.

We should have pulled away weeks ago but we consistently hand other teams 3 points without them having to do anything for it. The football the last few games has been absolutely diabolical. Please Rooney just go back to what we were doing before, it was working. Stop changing everything.

We had Bielik before too which was a huge factor.

Birmingham's remaining games - Reading (H)

Watford (A)

Swansea (H)

Brentford (A)

Stoke (H)

Rotherham (A)

Forest (H)

Derby (A)

Cardiff (H)

Blackburn (A)

I can see them maybe winning 2 max from them 10, 7-9 points total.

If thats what they get, we need 3-5 points from our last 10

I’ve been saying for a while that March and April will be tough and we can’t get too comfortable.

Today showed exactly that - contriving to lose a game even the most pessimistic of us would have viewed as winnable.

Our only saving grace at the moment is that Rotherham can’t get a game on and Birmingham are doing their very best to beat us in the race to 22nd.
