I can certainly see the logic behind it and to be fair to WR his shuffling of the pack usually pays dividends.

RadioactiveWaste
I'm pretty sure the Sibley issue (in general) is a maturity thing - we've seen what he could grow into, but Rooney needs work, discipline and decision making in his team, and the later 2 are things he needs to work on. May well just be an injury tonight?

G STAR RAM
The dropping of Byrne and Buchanan does feel a bit Cocuesque. We have essentially dropped 2 of our best performers because we are worried about the team that is bottom of the league. That being said, the replacements should be good enough to do the job WR asks of them. Hope the plan does not backfire. Surprised we have not gone with a ball player in the middle to try and control the game.

angieram
I think Byrne and Buchanan being rested has a lot more to do with playing Watford on Friday than anything else. We might have to get used to this during February; the schedule of games is relentless.
Millenniumram
Good to see Mengi get his first start. Utterly obscene to leave Buchanan out though for anything other than fitness reasons, Forsyth doesn’t offer anything better in any area than him anymore, and Buchanan was my MOM the other day. Think Jozwiak is lucky to keep his place after recent performances too, and I’ll keep saying I think Roos should be in the team as well. Good to see Edmundson make the bench too, hopefully his injury problems are behind him now.
Carnero
The fact that Jayden Mitchell-Lawson was a late withdrawal from the u23 team last night and is on the first team bench tonight, would suggest that there was a late withdrawal from the first team squad (Sibley) presumably due to an injury. JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
Line up makes sense. Probably good for Mengi that Akinfenwa won't be on the pitch tonight. I suspect he'd have fancied a go at the young lad to see of he can hack it.
