Topram
Personally big Sam is exactly what we need right now, we are in a relegation dog fight and we need to get out of it
Rab a dab doo
I hope we got plenty of sugary doughnuts in the canteen then if Big Sam comes because allegedly he likes a bit of sweetner on the side.

DarkFruitsRam7
Surely this whole saga has proved there's no point in looking at bookies' odds when it comes to managerial appointments?
JustOneBiblicalKazim
We’re a team that can’t score, why would we want Allardyce?

Out of interest, what's with the constant comparison between Allardyce and Pearson? Their sides don't play particularly similarly, definitely different man management styles, and have operated in different divisions for most of their careers? Do you just mean that their styles are both big changes from what we've currently been doing for the last year and that a a big shake up isn't what we need right now? deanoakaram4life
Big Sam would be a huge appointment for any championship team. He is constantly drafted in by premier league teams who look like they are doomed. Id love him at pride park, he’s get us out of trouble and we would actually have a chance of promotion if he is given the funds.

Because people said the exact things they're saying then, now. ''They know what they're doing'' ''they'll sort it out and make us tough to beat'' ''put a bit of passion in the team'' all that same kind of baalocks. The idea behind big Sam is entirely wrong in my view, exactly the same as it was with Nigel Pearson. We didn't have the personnel for Pearson, and we don't have the personnel for Big Sam. It'll have the same outcome.

We are short of strikers and ask any Everton fan about the poohouse football they endured ...if we are going to get someone then someone like Mac short term makes sense but Sam...we might be bottom but we will get out of it why so much panic ...we outplayed Bristol for large parts and if we had a striker or two we’d have beat them this is not the time for panic imo Well with twelve games gone we’re bottom and three points off safety so we need to do something pretty soon you know what they say about being bottom of the table at Christmas... Another potential example of jumping from long term to short term with totally different ideas. Still don't believe we need rescuing, we just need a fresh view of the team. Mckram
Well I’ve just stuck £10 on John Gregory, now I’ll get my popcorn and watch the meltdown on here as his odds tumble. It was either pay £10 to watch Derby on Wednesday or £10 on John Gregory, there’s only one that was going to provide entertainment.
