Uptherams Posted October 3, 2020 Share Posted October 3, 2020 Fantastic. Set the side up perfectly. Best tactical display under Cocu. Davies man of the match. Needs to feature more often. Defenders, defender. Loves to do the simple things. Takes so much pressure off the other defenders and keeper. My only criticism would have been Rooney off earlier, but he gets the goal. Wasn't a pretty display. First shot on target was 75th minute from Whiticker. But this is how you play against a side fighting for top 6, away from home. I though every player was excellent in a 100% committed performance. Davies, Marshall, Clarke all outstanding. Lee Buchanan and Jason knight were excellent. Whitaker looked dangerous and is growing into the team. Rooney... legs may be slowly going, but write him off at your peril. Cocu, fantastic tactics which ground out a result. Not pretty, but exactly why was required after our run of form. Rooney was the match winner, but it’s between Knight and Marshall for Man if the Match.
