I propose we change the rating system from a number/10 system to a comparable Derby player. With that in mind I give Thor: Ragnarok a solid Jeff Hendrick.

That’s fine until @wixman gives a Chris Martin. @Ninos would need to be strapped to a chair with the contraption that was used in “Clockwork Orange” to make him watch it. The other way round and wix would probably wish that he had gauged his own eyes out with a spoon

Thor: Ragnarok. I thought it was bloody good fun, even the missus enjoyed it and she doesn't tend to be in to the super hero stuff although Hemsworth might have had something to do with it.

We watched Wonder Woman,I give it an Abdoul Camara.

Sully - found it to be quite a safe film, not too much real tension. Kept it close to real story, although a few bits of built up drama. Hanks is likeable, as always, and was a good watch as I could watch it with my wife and both enjoy it (not always the case). 8/10 old money, John Eustace new

The Dark Night Rises

Some good moments but doesn't live up to the hype on too many occasions. Fans of Super Hero films will like it regardless of how unintelligible Tom Hardy is because Batman Begins was good even though that was about 12 years ago.

Johnny Russell/10.

Midnight Run (1988).

Bobby D plays a bounty hunter hired by a bail bondsman played by Joe Pantoliano to return a mob accountant from NYC to LA so he can go to jail. Naturally another bounty hunter wants the moolah that could be earned from such a prized scalp so gets in the way and the task is further complicated by the mob trying to bump the numbers man off. Oh and of course the Feds want a piece as well.

Taribo West/100 - it's enjoyable to watch, if not a bit silly, but you sense the start of a slide towards mediocre-at-best family comedies for De Niro and whilst he'll have a few more great performances in him (Goodfellas and Casino), money has started to turn his head and he'll soon be leaving the big stage to start setting up a church group in Nigeria.

Great score by Danny Elfman though.

Very underrated film. Not a serious film, but seriously funny.

Been watching a lot of Korean cinema recently. Some seriously good stuff out there without the OTT Woo type choreography or the geekiness of Chinese or Japanese equivalents.

I Saw The Devil - stunning cinematography and no holds barred - not for the faint-hearted but not overtly gratuitous. Think 'Seven' but flipped upside down and you won't be far off the mark.

8.5/10 an artful Asanovic

The girl on the train (currently free on Amazon Prime Video)

Enjoyed this twisty thriller a lot & look forward to a second viewing.

Reminded me a lot of Gone Girl - though that one is probably superior. Emily Blunt was fantastic in this, playing the sad alcoholic who becomes obsessed with the "perfect couple" she sees every day on her train ride past their house - 2 doors down from where she used to live with her ex-husband.

8/10
