You are correct, but since 5 is within an acceptable range of 0-10 I'm going to the lower limit.....?

I couldn't resist it, it's an old joke like finding Accountancy too stimulating. I used to work with Actuaries quite a bit before I retired. A jolly lot, by and large.

I miss this thread being the main place to hang out in the forum.

Anyone know when the special inquest of justice in the name of the revolutionary EFL and the people is to take its impartial place?

I miss the ‘Investment close’ thread

Isn’t Kieran Maguire the legendary Swiss Ramble?

The hearing on this has gotten be soon, over the next couple of weeks you’d think. Dunno why they need to even have one mind, in a showing of solidarity we’ve already given ourselves our punishments - we’ve put ourselves under a transfer embargo, and we gave ourselves a points deduction in that Luton game!

To be honest I've not been keen on MM since he took over. The bottom line is though that he is responsible for the mess the club is now in. Darks days ahead ?

That's what happens when you have an inexperienced …… Oh, wait. Didn't he say something about that?

A good article by Percy.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/02/05/championship-war-fear-feuds-lost-points/

A couple of snippets...
“Middlesbrough, Bristol City and Millwall have been particularly vocal in demanding that any clubs who break the regulations, or find alleged “loopholes” such as the sales of stadiums, should be punished”
“last year 16 from 24 Championship clubs voted against raising spending limits”

Finishes off by saying our hearing will be later in the season.

I’d be interested in hearing Millwall’s reasoning as to why, but the others?

-Boro have had parachute payments which has helped them but surely no chairman at this stage should be promoting the ‘boom or bust’ approach that they went for?

-Bristol have the approach of ‘Sell, and for as high as you can’ which again isn’t achievable for every club.

Im not overly happy with what Derby did and I’ve said it many times, but the EFL and chairmen shouldn’t be interested in previous seasons now. It’s about making the league, and the clubs within it,  sustainable before we end up with a Bury situation I then championship. It’s unfortunate that they can’t see that.

Haven't read the article but, not sure a club finding a loophole can or should be punished. It should be frowned upon and the loophole closed but, surely finding a loophole means you've not actually broken any rules.

I suppose it's how you look at it, there may well be a ruling that if a club finds a loophole it becomes a reportable concern to the EFL so that the loophole can be closed rather than a club(s) exploiting it

Of course it will be later in the season.

Gives the EFL chance to see where we are to maximize any punishment.

If we are 9 points above relegation no doubt we will be docked 10 points.
