Does anybody know if there’s an expiry date on this clause in Bennett’s loan deal? The season is over, later than anybody expected when Bennett went on loan to Millwall, but over nevertheless.

Dunno but I know where you are coming from, bit worrying it's not been announced as a permanent deal yet.

With hindsight maybe the extra year before going on loan was a mistake...

My bet would be that decision makers are on holiday, given the very short close season, and that Covid has altered values and affordability.

Mason appeared to make a good impact except for his injuries.  It might also depend on who else becomes available and at what price.

If fit we need him - he is a better option than jafoozon and Whittaker on the right and can cover Lawrence as well on the left and we may well need someone at centre forward currently! - if he does move on we had better have better cover

This guy

In a Premier League match against Leeds United, Matt Le Tissier got injured in the 32nd minute. Souness sent his latest “ace signing”, Ali Dia, to replace him. And what followed was probably the 22 worst minutes of Souness’ managerial career, and the greatest in Ali Dia’s. He missed a couple of sitters, ran around the pitch without a semblance of a plan and was basically rubbish.

So we end up after CM's departure  with Mason. Joking right? I despair at Derby fans willingness to celebrate mediocrity. Add him to Villa, Sammon, and both Robinsons, and a few more.

He is the past, get rid!

One of the great 1990s football scams....

His physique means he's built for speed and power, rather than stamina, so he'll always be a fitness/injury liability.

He's hardly ever completed 90 minutes, so is only ever an impact player.

Oh and of course he's clearly as thick as pig doings.

Time to move on.

The same was said of Dean Sturridge before Jim Smith came along

In that people quickly say get rid when we have no currently here to replace him who is better

Cocu clearly deemed him surplus to requirements based on what we already had, rightly or wrongly. So you can guess we certainly won't need him next season after a transfer window.
