Our problem is deeper than poor marking at set pieces. Losing our best players from last year is one thing, but the players we had last year appear to be regressing. 

We just can’t keep possession. It’s not really about giving the ball away so much as having so few options to NOT give the ball away.

No a stat came up saying we’re poor at defending them, most goals conceded from them in the division.

But yes, absolutely agree with the rest of your post, there are much deeper issues

Cocu was a very successful international defender. How is it our defending is so appalling?

We don’t have the players for a 4-2-3-1, we don’t have the midfield to run games, we don’t have the full-backs to play out

Terrible reffing but what kind of game are we playing here? 

Can't defend can't pass can't run with the ball can't hold it up. 

Give them the ball at any opportunity, waste any possession we have...

They've had best part of 2 weeks to prepare for this and it's an awful mess.

I really feel for Cocu, I imagine he’s set up to hit them on the break but these players lost this match before they even kicked a ball. They aren’t working for each other, no belief they can win this game. Just looks like no one wants to step up and take responsibility for the ball.

Three and a half games last season were a total embarrassment and now a quarter of one this season
