Just some thoughts:

Mels proven to be a brilliant businessman(I suppose you could debate, but I won’t); not going to get caught out and forced to sack Frank

Until I see Frank holding a Chelsea jersey(recent), he’s not gone, and is still contractually obligated to Derby.

(actually you don’t have to be a brilliant businessman for that; Frank has a contract, Frank is Derbys Manager. All Mel has to do is point to the contract. Nothing Chelsea can do to stop compensation, or force a hand. Nothing

I’m researching Cocu...I like him too. But again...until he’s sat at Pride Park holding up our (fingers crossed, Orange) third kit...Frank is still Manager.

I (like all of you) want resolution soon.  Let’s get there with some dignity, and a few less conspiracy theories...we’ll all be better for it.

Edit: speculations are not conspiracy theories, in my book. Speculation has reason...Conspiracy Theories do not

coyr!

Don't get angry at me! I'm just repeating what's being said on Twitter by random accounts

I wasn't getting angry - Did you actually believe what was said on Twatter?

Take another read of what you put:

'Run out of time to sign Cocu. The twitter rumour that has popped up (by some guy who's come out of nowhere) is that Chelsea are holding up the contract so we're pressured by Cocu threatening to bail so we sack Lampard. Meaning Chelsea don't have to pay us any compensation.'

I'm sorry but frank is not a "snake." He left to go to one of the biggest clubs in the world, one where he also spent a large amount of his playing career, is top goal scorer and happens to be regarded as a legend there. You know if it was any other club, he would have stayed with us.

Really? One of the richest, perhaps. But biggest? Nah.

Everybody wants announcements, both Derby and Chelsea fans, but in reality how much difference does it make? Not much from what I can tell.

Chelsea know who their manager is and so do Derby, I think it's reasonable to assume that. Those guys will now be assessing their squads, looking at the tapes from last season, having private conversations with players and board members, speaking to people at the club about comings and goings (or just goings in Chelsea's case), speaking to people at the club about player contracts etc.

In other words: planning.

Derby's players only got back this week and Chelsea's players aren't even back yet I don't think. It's all fitness testing. The manager isn't needed on the training ground. In other words, they've already started on their new jobs, whether they've signed their contracts or not or whether it's been announced or not.

I don't think this delay has any bearing on anything. Derby and Chelsea will know exactly where they stand and everybody will have been keeping everybody in the loop. The delay is frustrating to the fans and the media but to the clubs I doubt a few days here or there makes any difference at all.

There will be reasons for the delay which both clubs will be privy to. None of us have a clue what they are, including journalists. In all likelihood there is a lot of conspiratorial nonsense being written.

Can we add a sound track that automatically plays whenever you click on this thread? I can't help visualising the scene from Ground Hog day when he wakes up and the radio is always playing Sonny and Cher and he know the day is going to be exactly the same as the day before.

Maybe not even one of the richest. One of the richest owners but he walks away Chelsea are not big enough to generate the income that man utd, Liverpool do.

Chelsea could easily become a has been club if he clears off.

" Sky Sports News understands..."

This can be roughly translated as:  "Definately, probably, possibly, perhaps, maybe, er, um, dunno really, summat might happen soon."

Sky Sports understand duck all!  Especially how a ducking clock works!  Ducking amateurs!  The next time one of those bell-whiffs are outside PP, they're getting one of these ?
