Holmes booked for a deliberate trip, which he did, but that was harsh.

What the referee failed to spot was a pull back on Holmes, then a trailing arm in his face in the same movement.

It's Andy Woolmer's 15th season as a professional referee and he's never been appointed to a Premier League game. Probably says enough.
