  1. Forest away in October 1996. Just after promotion with TBE. Was sat in the Executive Stand with a mix of Notts and Rams friends, keeping our identities and allegiances under wraps. 5 mins in, our old hero Deano puts Notts 1 up. I can’t believe he’d do it. Gutted. But we stand to clap nevertheless to keep up the disguise. 2nd half and I know that the Rams are back. Not just in this game, but we’re just back full stop. Asanovic ran the show and after Dailly equalised, we should’ve gone on to win. When our goal went in, I stood up to cheer, quickly realised my mistake and shouted FFS in pretend annoyance. Thankfully got away with it. But at the same time a load of cheers went up all around us from other secret Rams fans and it got a bit tasty for a minute or 2 and thankfully simmered down.
  2. Love that one. I was in the Ossie upper and the ground was heaving with 26k. Away end below was swirling like the kop and the popside was sardines. A typical atmospheric 80s night at the BBG. We were in danger of relegation and they were one of the best teams in the world. But we battled and fought, and the fans were great. I can remember Forsyth’s equaliser like yesterday. Beautiful. I taped the goal on VHS from Central News Sport the day after and watched it over and over again. So proud at school the next day we’d held Liverpool to a draw. Happy days for the Rams.
  3. Thanks lads. Love all the podcasts but this season’s ‘at the match’ ones are great. Saw you all at the march and wish I’d said hello. Will definitely get you a pint if I see you in the Brunny some day. Cheers 🍻
  4. Derby 2 Shef Utd 1 13 September 2008 About 3 days from being the only team to not win for a whole year. No wonder we appreciate the (relatively) good times. Green and Hulse scored btw. Oh, the relief!!
  5. Away at Notts about 1988. They go 1-0 up with just a few mins left and then Hebberd scored a superb volley equaliser a couple of minutes after in front of the packed away terrace. Just a draw but felt like a win. And then the fuzz kept us in the CG for 30mins after full time.
  6. I was there. Sure it was a Deano equaliser (superb header) and PG winner.
  7. I was there and remember the speakers swinging around in the wind before finally smashing into the Ley Stand seats. At the time, it seemed like a totally normal thing. Why wouldn’t the PA system just detach itself and almost kill a few fans?! Looking back it’s unreal! Maybe folk should be more appreciative of TD…
  8. I was at that Wolves game. It was blummin freezing. We had a crumbling terrace behind the goal and 2 whole sides of the ground were derelict. The most knackered ground I’ve been to.
  9. Love that game. 10,000 out of 18,000 for an away game was awesome. Then beating Leeds the week after to go up. My favourite season.
  10. 3-3 v Wednesday in the cup 1992. Probably the last great night at the BBG.
  11. Well that wasn’t very good was it 🙁
  12. Wish someone had ‘pushed in the wall’ tonight!!
  13. ‘Pushing in the wall’…. 😎
  14. No chickens counted on my behalf, but for those of a certain vintage, who was at the BBG in May 86, the last time we escaped from Div 3? What a season (or 2) and what a night. The tension, the floodlights, the queue at the chippy. Over 21,000 in those days was like 40k right now. I can still feel the rush of joy as Christie stroked home that peno - cool as custard. Arthur was, and still is, The King. And when I win the lottery, Arthur and Graham Richards will get their statues outside PP. Different times, but almost 40 years on, I’ve got that promotion tingle again. Super Rams 💪 Please post any videos from 84-90. Also, ‘Mr Fitzharris of Bolton’, I love you 🤣
  15. Nice one Admira. I’m in the pic of Bobby celebrating one of his many goals in a 84/85 Centenary Bass top down the Normo end. Bobby is all trademark thighs, popeye forearms and Magnum tache. And I’m a skinny little 10 year old jumping for joy in the Ossis Upper. I’d been to the BBG in previous seasons (but can’t can’t remember the games) but those years in Div3 were my first season ticket, and the crucial barb that has still got me hooked to this day, 40 years later. Kevin Wilson was a hero in the beginning. But Bobby was God soon after. And Arthur was the king. Still is.
