That was really really bad 2nd half. Never in the game. This high intensity football appears to be taking its toll.

The injury list is growing. On a side not the quality of refereeing is this league is atrocious.

Glad Holmes booted that arse Grealish as well. What a melt.

Time to recover over the international break. God help us when the schedule gets really busy through.

Carson - Cant pass. 6/10

Bogle - Very poor today. 4/10

Keogh - Did his best but let down by everyone around him. 6/10

Tomori - Same as Keogh. 6/10

Forsyth - Poor 5/10

Huddlestone - Unusually erratic. 5/10

Holmes - Neat on the ball, no physical presence. 5/10

Wilson - Decent first half, bypassed secod half. 6/10

Lawrence - About as much use as a marzipan sex toy today. 3/10

Bennett - Unlucky 6/10

Marriott - No suited to the long ball tripe they tried today. 6/10

Lampard - 4/10. Second half tactics were all over the place.

Bad day at the office. Move on.

With the late game still to come, we're guaranteed to go into the international break in the top six and we're five points outside the top two at the very most. It's starting to open up slightly, but it only takes a few games for a gap like that to close.

Hopefully the players can put it down as "one of those days" and not let it destroy the confidence we've built up in the previous month or so. It's a poo result to go into a two-week break with, but we need to use that time to try and fix our flaws, get players like Mount, Waghorn and Bryson fit and in the squad again, and hope the injuries to Bennett and Forsyth don't see them out for too long.

We've got some winnable games to come, if we can put together a run with some of the performances we know we're capable of, we'll break into the top two before long.

Horrible game for us today, full credit to Villa for how easy they made it look. But it hasn't dented my confidence for the season, we're still in a great position and have the potential to really make something of this season.

COYR.

In the second half we just didn’t want to know. No one was prepared to hold the ball up and no one was running to give options for the midfield. A good example of how poor we were second half was a ball passed out to Fozzy and he bends down to head it. First half he would have controlled it with his chest. I am glad we have got a break now so we can have a rest and hopefully get back to full strength.

These are the sort of games that can wreck a team's confidence especially given it's another 2 weeks before they can redeem themselves.

Today's match showed how crucial Mount is to us. There was zero control without him, Frank preaches possession & control we played at a frantic pace throughout that 2nd half & couldn't retain possession at all. Seen many saying Holmes was a better player after Birmingham. Today was a reality check.

I think Curtis Davies will be a starter from here on forth after today, Frank has showed faith in Keogh/Tomori but enough is enough. Our inability to keep clean sheets has finally cost us big time.

Was a good even game first half, could have been 2-2. Second half we were totally outplayed, could have been 5 or 6 if Tammy had his shooting boots/head on.

All about balance really, we’ve been good and deserved praise recently but today we wasted 27k Derby fans’ time, just didn’t turn up second half.

Biggest worry I’ve had about Lampard yet, naive subs and tactics second half. Handed them the win. Fair play Villa and Dean Smith.

Im not really angry, just a tad worried that we’ve been craving a week off midweek for ages and we respond like that. We better be up for it after the international break.

These sort of games have the potential to be season defining in terms of the impact of the game. Forsyth was crying after his injury-didn’t look good. Wilson and Tomori also picked up injuries

Teams now realise that Bogle is the weak link and will start to target him even more like Kodjia and Bolasie did. CArson doesn’t look as unbeatable as he did last season.

Lawrence has reverted back to the rubbish, wasteless player he was before.Keogh looked nervous as fook.

Beleive it or not, we are going to lose games in this league. Villa aren’t a bad team, wr have lost one game and suddenly we have a weak link that everyone is going to target and Lawrence is the scape goat again for some reason.

Try to put a bit of realism in your post, it’s as though you are waiting for us to fail so you can have a go, it’s one game no more no less.
