Reasons to be positive… we all have each other, we’re a special group but I wouldn’t be anywhere else…  next years our year 🐏❤️

Love this. I’ve been through thick & thin with this club for the last 42 years and was gutted at the final whistle yesterday. Then 5 minutes later me and my mate were discussing our away trip schedule for next season! COYR.

I’m not a fan so far. Too much territory based football, too defensive at home. Players out of position (not all forced). Form players being left on the bench.

I am hoping next year with his own squad we will be more of a team that suits Warnes style of play. But I fear it will be a variant of hoof ball. 🙁

Think you’re right. I don’t rate Warne’s football philosophy; he strikes me as a pound shop Rowett and I’m concerned about the kind of players he’s going to sign, but as he’s here for the duration it’s a case of having to suck it and see and get behind the team as always.

Sheffield were there to be had today.

We can only blame ourselves. We are one of the best teams at creating chances in the league and one of the worst at converting them.

Blame refs and the EFL if you want. Come up with an imaginary conspiracy theory if it helps.

This was our own fault. Nobody elses.

I would normally agree with you but today we were very definitely cheated by that p**** of a ref. Never a pen and therefore never a red.

  4. After the torture of last season I felt an enormous connection to the club and when DC bought us I knew right away he was going to be the right owner for us. I therefore bought my first season ticket in 28 years, renewed my away membership and even bought a subscription to the programme.

I’ve been to away matches in places I’d never heard of, sang my heart out with people half my age and had an absolute blast. I’ve felt emotional looking across the stands at the numbers of Rams fans who have packed in home and away to watch the likes of Morecambe or Forest Green, and I’ve gone back to talking about teams selection or the form of certain players rather than worrying about whether we would still have a club.

Despite my personal reservations about PW I think we’ve had an amazing season considering where we were last summer and can’t wait for next season, regardless of what division we’re in. Whatever happens I’ll be renewing my ST and away membership and doing it all over again in 23/24.

    COYR!!

  5. Having been at Oxford last week and seen us play poorly but fluke a win I was gobsmacked when I saw PW had put out essentially the same team again. I have no idea what his thought processes were but that was an abysmal team selection today. Fleetwood played us off the park first half and we were dreadful but why take off Springett & Hourihane 2 minutes before half time? What kind of b******* mind game was Warne trying to play there? It achieved nothing. Absolute shambles from team selection to tactics to performance. He needs to grip this up and start showing some tactical nous or we are heading out of the playoff places.

  6. Was at the game yesterday and was really disappointed with how we played. Wycombe‘s main tactic seemed to be to hoof it out left to McCleary for him to get it across into the penalty area, and we never seemed to deal with it. We were physically bullied and harassed by them as well and several players seemed to fold because of it.
I don’t care where they are in the table; you have to beat shitty hoofball merchants like these to get out of this league so really pissed off, especially with it being this lot; the absolute definition of a nothing club.

“Wouldn't be disappointed if Derby went out of business. Their fans are c*nts.”

     Diddums.

Aww they’re upset that little old League 1 Derby didn’t follow the script and allow them to batter us. In a season where the Carabao Cup is probably the only thing the Scousers have a realistic chance of winning because they are so s*** it really was selfish of us to take them to pens.

If you are trying a draw a comparison based on a single game for each manager then you are clearly deluded.

I’ll not judge Warne until the end of the season (unless things really go pear shaped) and even then we’ll never know if LR would have done better with the players at his disposal.

    I'm not deluded, I'm just not having rubbish quotes like;

And this squad were even more s*** under Rosenior,a man who no record of success at all....and,let's not forget, were getting steadily worse prior to him being replaced'.

That is absolute nonsense - we had just beaten Wycombe after a good performance and were in the top 6 when Rosenior was given the boot. If LR can be scapegoated by some for the football his team played after only a handful of games this season why should Warne be treated any differently after a similar number of games played? We haven't improved under him, the performance against Bristol Rovers was a result of him having to play a conventional formation due to injuries, not because he was doing what he thought would work.

I'm not going to judge Warne on yesterday's performance - I've never rated him as a manager but he is here for the long haul as it stands and I'm a ST holder so I'll keeping going and hope for the best.

And yet a club in the league above us have given LR a job and he’s got a point away at Millwall in his first game while we have drawn with a non league team rock bottom of their league. Yeah Rosenior is s*** compared to Warne…

The inference in your comment is quite clear. By implication therefore Warne is  not a good manager if he does not conform to the values you've quoted.

Sorry to disappoint but both Parker and Tuchel declined the exciting opportunity to manage our club when Warne joined.

I didn’t want either. I wanted our chairman to give LR a bit longer to see if he could get the team he built from scratch in the summer to gell. Instead we’ve given a 4 year contract to someone whose style of football is completely at odds with what our current squad are used to. Personally I don’t rate Warne but I’m a ST holder so I will be there week in week out hoping that he stops trying to shoehorn players into his ‘system’ and plays to their strengths until he can sign the players that actually fit his style, whatever that is.
